    Nutone Central Vac

Nutone VX-series I used to work for a small store that sold appliance parts and was a Nutone dealer and an authorized repair center. The VX series was apparently the worst unit they had ever come out with. The techs and the owner never sold them to anyone, they were constantly replacing builder...

How many use this as their normal machine..?

Windtunnel I purchased the top of the line WindTunnel Self-Propelled Turbo Power machine a few years ago and returned it 2 weeks later. While it was not terribly expensive, it was more than most plastic big box store vacuums. While it did clean well, it sounded like I was cleaning with a jet...

    Fourty Bucks buys a Lux......

That is a wonderful machine! I had the exact same 6500, in which i completely rebuilt the motor and it ran perfect for many years. My housekeeper really loved that machine. Its so simple and straight forward to use, you really can screw anything up. I had the entire light gray Electrolux line...

    question about the Miele S183

236 PN If you need to have another vacuum and are looking for quality, durability, and preformance, buy a nice rebuilt Kirby. They clean all types of carpets very well, last a life time(made out of metal), parts are always available, and its self propelled. You can certainly find a nice unit on...

    Questions about Electrolux Combo Tool

Attachment Thread I think that different threads on attchments would be a wonderful thing. I do love canisters and uprights, but I absolutely love my VacuFlo central vac, the power is just amazing. Anyway, since you can use any attchment that fits a standard hose, it has been interesting to mix...

Inquiring Minds Want to Know - Electrolux Epic 6500

Perfect Bags I don't mean to change the topic of this tread but does anyone know if there is any risk of damanging a Lux motor from using the Perfect canister bags? I keep my Lux Diamond Jubilee at my grandmothers house for when I go there and do some cleaing. She has a year old Hoover non s/p...

Inquiring Minds Want to Know - Electrolux Epic 6500

Epic 6000/6500 I had a gray 6500 that was the daily driver and also used by the house keeper for many years. I bought the machine from a Kirby dealer for about $50, but the motor needed to be rebuilt because its bearings were shot. I rebuilt the motor before putting it into use and it never...

what is best power nozzle you ever used

I absolutely love the Eureka Express Power Nozzle with the VibraGroom III(?) too. Its steel better bars really help to vibrate everything out of the carpet. I have the Lindhaus nozzle and the Eureka blows it away, its not even in the same class of cleaning in my opinion. I like the Lux PN on my...

    Fantom Technologies mystery vac

Phantom Fantom Thats a Fantom Thunder, its the original Fantom I believe. It was the most expensive of the Fantom line up being one step up from the Fury making it the TOL. ~Steven

    Miele Floor Tool

Does anyone have the Miele SBB 300 Parquet Floor brush or the generic version available from thinkvacuum.com? Someone a while back posted the link at the bottom for thinkvacuum but I dont remember what they thought of it. Is the generic version an exact replica of the Miele? I use either the...

    New Miele Canister

Miele Canister I had a Red Velvet and a Blue Moon and I really liked them both! I bought the Red Velvet brand new from my local vac shop and it was a stellar preformer. I only got rid of the 2 vacs because I installed a Vacuflo because we had a large german shepard and i was sick of smelling...

    Hoover Decade 80--A Dream Realized.

Electrolux Chips The "stink chips" that Electrolux sells are called "Clean Sweep". They have a lemon sent to them and do last a very long time. As stated above, Im not sure how well they would work in a direct air machine but they do last a long time in an Electrolux tank.

    what's your daily driver

I was thinking the same thing as Brian, we all seem to use a Kirby as a daily driver. I don't vacuum every day but I always use my Vacuflo system, alternating between my non electric hose and TurboCat, and my direct connect hose and Eureka Express p/n. When I use the Turbo hose i usually use my...

    need some advice.....

Windtunnel Dont buy the bagless model! I had the TurboPower self propelled for a short time before returning it (too loud and the self propelled feature is lousy compared to my kirby) but it was an excellent machine with good suction. The brush roll is a little more aggressive than I like but...

    Kirby forum website

On board tools and a Hard Bag Years ago I emailed Kirby asking why they dont make a hard shell for the bag (this was when HEPA filters were starting to be all the rage) I got a very nice response back, and it said that they do not believe in making a hard bag case as there is no need. According...

    Kirby Sentria G10D

Sentria Bag System Does anyone have a picture of the new Kirby bag system? I had noticed recently on the kirby site there is now an "F" style bag, so Im assuming that is the new one. Andrew, Congrats! The Sentria is beautiful, I'd love to have one but since I have the same Diamond Edition you...

    Miele S7 Hose Issue... Again!

Phone Blitz I completely agree with "luxlife". I have had great success when dealing with a company when I can rattle off all the dates and names of all the people I have spoken with, and how many times I have spoken with each one. I usually start out fairly nice, and as soon as I start getting...

    Aerus Lux

Motor I may have misunderstood from the previous thread here a few months ago, but I thought the Guardian Ultra was going to have a newer more powerful motor. They certainly could use some more powerful suction.
