DC12 In my experience with my DC12..... Before issues, It was brilliant. About the same suction as DC21, Brilliant performance :) Loved it while it lasted... Think the Australian current screwed it up somehow :(

The "Flex" you talk about is the spring in the handle assembly pulling up to stop the release mechanism being activated :)
