The only difference between the DC25 Silver Yellow and the DC25 Animal is the inclusion of the Mini Turbine head, There should be no discernible difference between these two models in regard to hair pick up... And yes... Either model will pick up human hair fine ;)

Emptying the bin and cleaning the filters is an issue for you? Please do share... I have never had a bad experience with either. IMHO it is much easier (and so much cheaper) to empty the bin every now and then and was the filter every few months as opposed to going vacuum bag shopping...

I have a few Dysons (see pic :P ) and my experience with them has always been positive, I have had issues, but all were caused by myself abusing the machine and due to no fault of the machine or manufacturing process. I don't own the DC25 so the best person to ask would be Jack (vintagehoover)...
