Awesome Find- Thanks to my local Kirby Dealer.

I have that model Rainbow, and I got mine from a Kirby dealer as well. It was complete, clean, well maintained. I vacuum a lot due to a shedding dog so a Rainbow is not my regular go-to vac, however I do pull it out once in a while and give the house a good cleaning. I like being able to use the...

    Opinions on Oreck XL's

I have plush cut pile carpeting over a premium pad that's getting on in age. When I use my XL21 it brings it back to life! My dog gets two Milk Bones a day, and some of the crums make it into the pile that she doesn't get. The Oreck gets those crums that work their way down into the pile. I had...

My latest refurb: 1992 Kirby Generation 3

Congrats, you did an awesome job! You took it from a crud vac to a collection worthy vac! It amazes me how much crud a vacuum can accumulate over the years. Your friend will be very grateful I'm sure!

    Royal 9700

Bags Ed, I'd go to a local independent vacuum store to buy bags. You should be able to find at least micro-filtration bags in the F&G configuration.

    Is it worth $50?

If you're looking for the best cleaning nozzle, the PN2 is way better than the predecessor, I've had both..just an opinion, no scientific research was done. I think I do remember a bad rap for the earlier nozzle in Consumer Reports, but might be mistaking, could've been another source.

    Scam listing?

Check this out..sounds like a scam to me, seller has no transactions and free shipping from China? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Kirby-Heritage-II-Vacuum-Cleaner-NOS-2-HD-/112092246224?hash=item1a1937f0d0:g:~L4AAOSw9NdXreZ2

    Stan Kann's Hoover 825!!

Congrats! Beautiful 825 and meaningful knowing it belonged to Stan. You've given me incentive to get the Mother's out and shine mine up! I have a model 61 from Stan that was a duplicate..definitely makes it special!

    One Of A Kind Kenmore.

I have that blue one with the shelves. I don't even remember where I got it long ago. We brought it up from the basement a few years ago when we had a mega meet here. It fired right up and has suction. My display rooms are maxed out so off to the basement it went. I can't imagine they sold well...

    I need a Halo motor

Just a shot in the dark here, but might want to check with Kent or the guys in Ill.

    Gorgeous and rare....

I have been salivating over this offering since it appeared. I have never seen one of these in print or in real life. I don't know the seller, but wanted to share this with those who don't usually peruse ebay. It looks like it was put in a closet and never used...

So, I'm looking for some Ad's

For more than one reason, I wish I'd been born in 1965...lol. Our neighbor bought a D50 and I begged my parents to trade in our 505..nope..nothing doing..nothing wrong with the old one! So, I vacuumed for my neighbor once in a while, she was more than glad to let me.

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

Hey Brandon..I for one hope you don't go away as I always enjoy your posts, and your restorations are great! I don't Facebook or any other media myself, that's always a personal choice. Any time you get involved with a group, there are always "bad apples" around, and you just have to ignore...

What do you Hoover guys know about

I have one Hans in really good condition, love the way it sounds and cleans. I remember when I first moved to St. Louis in '88 I went downtown to Famous-Barr's outlet warehouse and saw a bunch of them on closeout, both hard shell and soft bagged models. They had a weak spot in the handle area...

    Bought my first Hoover

Congrats Gary, that is one of Hoover's best canisters I believe. That power nozzle is hard to beat paired with any of the Hoover canisters, not too noisy, and very effective cleaning. After that nozzle was discontinued, I personally think the future nozzles were cheapened a bit, as were the...

    Kirby Classic 3 Handle

Brandon, that handle is a later replacement handle, possibly generic but not sure. The bag system is also a later genuine Kirby upgrade using disposable bags, from regular paper, up to the hepa bags. I have a Classic III with both bag setups. When I use it, I use the latter setup, makes it a...

Fixing up a Eureka ESP Self-Propelled vacuum

Michael, I'm afraid you'd have to replace the outer bag, that connector cannot be replaced as far as I know, and you have another problem. See those nubs on the wheels, they've lost their outer smooth rubber coating and you cannot just replace the wheels unfortunately. It requires a total drive...

I don't know what to say.

Absolutely amazing finds/gifts! That Kirby is homely but very unique. The Airway is a once in a lifetime score!

    Some 2016 VCCC photos

Thanks John for the pics, and keep 'em coming! I really missed going this year. Phillip and Shaylee came through here both going and return which was really nice. We went out to dinner the first time, then I cooked dinner when they came back through. It's really cool that Shaylee embraces the...
