    “Oreck” Portapower with wheels!

Score! That's a great find and a helluva lot better than an Oreck Buster B! I have one but it's black, it was a gift from Kenny Loveland. If I were you, I would continue using the Envirocare cloth bags, I'm sure they do a better job of shielding the motor from dirt than the cloth one would.

    My new vacuum room

That is an amazing basement! If I had all that room, I'd never stop collecting! Nice fan btw.

    Over the moon!

I was lucky enough this year to attend the convention in Spokane. Our gracious host Marc Turbyfill gave me a NOS Kirby bag for my 505.. one of the machines I grew up with. His generosity overwhelmed me! I've had the machine for a few years and my friends at a local vac shop buffed it and...

    VCCC Convention 2018

Ditto Rick B.! I had a wonderful time, always good to be with old friends and meet new members! My thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting it together and a special thanks to Marc for his generosity and opening his home to us!

    Hoover Portable: School me

If you can find any other high filtration bag besides Hoover, buy them! Hoover bag quality currently being sold is very low quality since Hoover no longer makes them. If I need bags for my Hoovers, I look on ebay for the green ones that used to be made at the Hoover plant, actually I'll probably...

eBay: Electrolux Corporation HPR Remanufactured Cleaner

Hey Bill, congrats on winning the bid! That really does look like a low use machine from what I can see. The hose could possibly leak, but you can find a nice used/new vinyl electric hose on ebay. Those braided hoses can look great but do leak over time if not stored properly. You can probably...

    An Aerus Dilemma

Good for you... You operate using old school "sales/service" principals, rarely found anywhere in today's world. I'm very loyal to any business that shows they care about the service I receive and wants me to be happy without ripping me off and loading their pockets.

    Name Sake

That's about the coolest thing I've ever seen, definitely a keeper!

OMG... Kenny, I had no idea you've been around since 2010...how time flies! It's been a privilege to know you all these years!

Very nice... You do a beautiful job! All gorgeous machines!

eBay: Electrolux Corporation HPR Remanufactured Cleaner

That's a nice machine, and I have never heard the HPR moniker before. I would hope by that time that it would have at least a Super J model type motor, or newer and not maybe a 1205 style. I have not seen a handle setup like that. I sold Olys and Silverados back in the day part time. Olys were...

    Nice Constellation...

First, I do not know this seller but ran across this and thought I'd share. It looks to be in nice shape considering the age, and looks to be all original. The hose would be an easy fix. I have one already or I'd be bidding on it...

    Another cordless schtick...

OMG, Eureka has jumped on the bandwagon with their version. http://https//www.amazon.com/dp/B07B6FC3TZ?ref=dacx_dp_6233715910001_7164636130401&me=ATVPDKIKX0DER&aaxitk=le4xRT.yRZ7VIeEdhHf78A

    My mistake.

@broomvac That Oreck retailed for 499.99 and included the hand carried Buster B. IIRC, I think it had a 10 yr. warranty and 8 free tune-ups. The tune-ups were done very thoroughly, at least they were when I was there, not just a dustoff and a new belt.

    My mistake.

You got a nice Oreck there. I worked in an Oreck store part-time years ago. I will tell you I'm surprised the original brushroll is still in it. Those were limited and wore out very quickly. They were supposed to resist bacteria or some BS like that, but they were very inferior and rarely lasted...

Can anyone tell me what kind of vacuum this is?

I agree Cole, I was thinking Toshiba also. I had one that had a similar hose with the on/off handle on the hose. Very innovative for it's time, as it was quite a few years ago. It was actually a very decent vacuum.

Looking for a possible new carpet cleaner

If you're talking about accidents in a localized area, maybe something like the Bissel Little Green machine might work for you, very easy to use. If you're talking about rooms of wall-to-wall carpet, the least expensive Hoover is what my friends who own a vac shop recommends, simple to use and...

    1950's Westinghouse Porta Vac

Ken Wow...that is one sweet display and machine!

    Sanitaire commercial

That's a great model due the uniqueness of the handle/switch. I had one at one time but in a weak moment flipped it. I put it on consignment and was gone in less than a week for a tidy sum.
