1938 Hoover Model 160 Cleaning Ensemble

Gorgeous. I always found it interesting how the U.K. version didn't have the handle bail like the U.S. version did.

    New Miele Upright Vac!!!

Mike, I saw these at the VDTA show this past February. They had them enclosed in glass, so I couldn't touch them, but they looked amazing. Miele has been working on these for EIGHT YEARS. Every year at VDTA it was "When's the upright coming out? When's the upright coming out?" Miele has put a...

    Andy's Vacuum Collection

Doug, my model is an E10 as well. I was looking at a piece of Miele literature that said these dated from the late 30's. I need to do some snooping around and get a definite timeline on Miele history. Morga, you're not loosing your mind. I don't think I ran the Miele at the convention since I...

    Kenmore Heavy Duty Vacuum

Nice machine Logan. My paternal grandmother had one of those with the big cloth bag. I loved the two speed switch.

    Andy's Vacuum Collection

Robb, I had never seen an all chrome Rexair either. This guy came to the store and sold that and the Filter Queen 350 to me for $20. At first I thought some vac shop had just spray painted the bottom, but when I looked closely at it, it really is the original color! From what I understand, it...

Coming soon to a vac shop near you!

I saw this at the VDTA show. Yes, the automatic control has been removed. It is made in China by Nationwide Manufacturing, who also makes a line of Sanitaire knockoffs. I'm honestly not too excited about it. The MAP (minimum advertised price) is $899. If it were around $450, I would consider...

Yeah Fred! You got your Universal Upright! I knew you'd love it! They're just so easy to use, and super quiet! Love the Princess! I wanted one of those SO BAD when I was a kid. The Health-Mor canisters were such awesome machines. We gotta catch up soon! Andy

    My Weekend Find!

Terry that's a great find. Those 1205's are such a satisfying canister to vacuum with. The "Automatic Control" script on the front is so elegant. It always reminded me of the Cadillac my Mom had when I was a kid.
