Adding Sound Insulation to Central Vacuum Motor?

Considering that this is a 3 stage premier motor, if installed properly with a muffler and vented outside, it would be considerably quieter. I have a vacu flo 360 with this motor installed in our workshop and it’s really not that bad at all.

    Hoover 28!!!

Kevin Charles, is right on this, the topic of the thread is Hoover 28, I think he was saying it more in a sense of humor which some people cannot comprehend emotions or tone behind letters on a screen. I think we are all guilty of making snarky comments every now and then but calling it out...

    Hoover 28!!!

$100 for the tan one which was low miles and $40 for the other I’d say I didn’t pay anywhere full value. Regardless of filter or not they still hold a value and no offense taken. Thanks for the compliment.

Hospital G While they are rare they are out there to be had. I have 2 one turquoise and the other tan and white. Both are missing the filters as it was sometimes common for people to take them off and not put them back on.

    Rainbow SE question

You should be fine, the lower hearing is protected pretty well from that stuff. It’s more the moisture from people storing the rainbow on a damp basin that does the damage.

    Hoover Concept One

@ madman I do know that roller bearings aren't the smoothest of bearings, so there is a possibility that it could just be the way it is. Is it arcing at all? If you feel the brushes are the issue and were put in differently when you reassembled it, the only way to reseat them without a stone...

I wouldn’t say they are too rare. Although not too common there are quite a lot of 115 Hoovers out there. I found mine at a barn sale for $2 in really nice and all original condition. Believe it or not the brush strips are still perfect!
