    Air-Way Sanitizor Central Vacuum?

I just spoke with the company re: dealer info... They are made here in North America , does that mean assembled from sourced parts? don't know yet. Will have more info to follow. Yes, they bought the name.

Is there a connection between Patriot and Air Storm vacuums

Airstorms are still in production... Do you know of  a website for them, besides just bags?

    Oreck Magnesium

This means... the Magnesium is likely slated for deletion. Many purchasers of the Magnesium have exchanged it for the Forever Gold. I would guess that many of these units in Target are refurbished returns

    The Host Carpet Cleaning Adventure

The stains... are likely urine molecules that have actually inserted themselves in between the molecules of dye in the carpet. Both are acidic. The molecules of uric acid are smaller than the molecules of dye.  It would be interesting to try the 'dye transformers' that actually break off an...

A BRAND NEW 1958 Kirby 518 - Garage sale find.

The bag also looks... like the bluish gray bag from a 560, or 561. My parents bought a 517, and it had the gray bag, with a long angle point painted on with the round logo in modern script.  I wonder if this was a refurbished repo Grandma bought, perhaps unwittingly?

    Central vacuums..

The installation is everything... Too often the C/V is installed by another craftsman, who might be very competent in his field, but knows nothing about vacuums. I think, unless the open space is too far for a 25 ft hose to reach, that should be the length around which the system is laid...

    Central vacuums..

The hose that stores in the wall... only solves the storage problem, it exacerbates the long hose in use because it uses a longer hose. The hose storage inlets are VERY expensive. It would take longer to store a 50 ft hose in the wall, and get another 50 ft out of the wall, than it would to...

    Central vacuums..

Convenience... is paramount when installing a central vac.  The full array of spot, vroom, wally vac, sweep inlets makes a huge difference. No one ever complains after a proper install is complete.  The cost is forgotten as the tiny messes of living are swirled away in seconds by the constant...

    Central vacuums..

Countryguy.... I do not know what kind of warranty comes with the house but the builder should have compelled the sub who did the install to correct the situation and add more inlets.  I cringe when someone walks in and says "My house was pre-plumbed for a central vac"

    Central vacuums..

There is a trick to handling the hose... First, design the system around a 25 ft hose. (about the length of a cord) absolutely no more than 30 feet. That five feet makes a HUGE difference. Second, do not skimp on the inlets. You should be able to clean up or down a staircase, and around a bed...

    Central vacuums..

I also like the Nilfisk... they offer a RFC unit that eliminates the need for even low voltage wiring.

    Central vacuums..

As the power of central vacs has increased, and the cost has decreased compared to high-end vacs, I have become more interested in them as a viable alternative to portable vacuums. They are referred to as 'ducted' vacs elsewhere in the world, and I found one called vario-vac that has unique...

TO BE INTRODUCED IN JANUARY, AERUS GUARDIAN PLATINUM.

Consumers complained about the small capacity of the Lux 'C' bag. "It fills up too fast" not realizing it is removing the dirt the previous cleaner did not.  Or, after replacing the hose and brushroll, the complaint would be voiced "it never did that before"   If Aerus Lux were to reissue...

    The Host Carpet Cleaning Adventure

The stated square footage... for 'average' soil is 500 for 6 lb, and, obviously 1000 for 12 lb. If the carpets are really dirty, misting with the pre-spray and brushing before applying the Host will help. Once the carpet is clean, maintaining is easy.

    THE NEW KIRBY IS HERE

You're not supposed to... vacuum up damp Host. If it's damp it is not done cleaning yet.

    The Host Carpet Cleaning Adventure

The Host can only absorb.. so much, just like a sponge. If it is still sticking to the carpet, there is more soap from previous cleanings still in the carpet, and a second application should remove it.  The compound is wet with a solution of primarily water with some detergent and solvent in...

    Dyson DC40

take a look... or another look at:   the launch of the G-tech Air-ram.  Pay close attention to the bits about power consumption/dirt removal efficiency.  I think a re-introduction of the Hoover junior would be absolutely brilliant and a huge hit after all the plastic throwaway stuff we...

    Oreck Orbiter

Briguy... The people who maintain carpets in the many casinos, schools, and health care facilities with nothing but Host would consider it a deep cleaning method.  With extraction, you reach a point of saturation where no more liquid can be applied, because of the limitation of less than 100%...

    Oreck Orbiter

Briguy... I most heartily disagree with your opinion of the effectiveness of Host, when PROPERLY applied.  Carpet fiber is synthetic, it cannot absorb water. What happens when you spray a dirty wall with a water based cleaner? It collects on the wall until gravity overcomes surface tension, and...

    Oreck Orbiter

If one considers... the average Host machine is rented 1 time per week, a month long rental should have been $80.00. Sounds like a dealer who did not rent/sell much was looking to make a killing.
