My Hoover Model 543 needs an attachment...

Wow!! I have never, EVER seen a Hoover with info printed in another language! You have something very special!! I will see what I can do for a hose coupler. Might take a bit but I will ask around in the Facebook groups, someone should have one to sell me.

    Missing thread?

My last update to my Eureka shipping and production history pre-1947 compilation was version 3.0, and since getting a new laptop I don't have the search saved. I have looked everywhere in the specialized Google search for VL and cannot find it! Do threads get axed? Not the first time I have had...

My Hoover Model 543 needs an attachment...

Welcome! A German 543... wow 543s are quite rare anyway, given that the beater bar often proved to overload the motor. I would love to see pictures! I do not have a hose connector like that but if no one else replies, I might be able to source one. I do not mind shipping overseas.

    Hand vac

I think I have a brush for that. But the end caps for it were wood and I don't think I have em. Very easy to make they were just squares with an off center hole in em to adjust height like a Dirt Devil handheld. I may have the little holders screws for them too, maybe.. Will look this week. As...

    Selling my collection

There is one of those at a work location I frequent. The top of the bin cover is all broken/tape covered.

    Calling all repair guys

NO!!!! This is not a Kirby or Bee Vac! This will break the hub of the cast, 1 piece fan! See the rear bushing, and the rotor in it? Tap the back of it with an ice pick. Or, pry it from the front vent holes with a screwdriver. Nothing is holding the bearing plate in except friction. The fan is...

    Calling all repair guys

No need to remove the fan. The bearing plate is held in by the motor screwing to the fan case. Just tap the armature with an ice pick from the back. Should come out The screw by the caster hole is an oil wick. Best of luck! These can be finicky creatures, especially the rotating switch.

New Zealand Hoover Constellation - Model 885A. #12372

Welcome! Wow, that is quite a find!! New Zealand machines seem incredibly rare. Especially the 50s Electroluxes, man I'd love one of those. You will most likely need to order a hose, tools, and bags from the US unless the other NZ collector(name escapes me) chimes in, or someone from...

    Antique Doty bellows sweeper

Interesting history!! Did he also design the electric Doty upright with the wooden base? The Hoover Historical Center has one. That will not sell for $300. I've seen them barely sell for $50. Very neat cleaner though.

Hoover Model 875 on eBay UK

It likely was. The plug on it appears to have been from the 70s. The paint was worn smoothly away from quite a bit of the top of the nozzle, and the bumper is soft, but worn out and hanging by a literal thread on one corner. The handle grip is also worn, but still very soft. The bag strap is...

Hoover Model 875 on eBay UK

Thanks. Mine was more of a smooth grey. It has refurb dates in the late 40s and late 50s, I believe 47 and 58. Someone had also repainted the motor, bakelite cap and ratings tag as well(scraped said paint off both) so its been cosmetically messed with before. The handle fork is cast, like on an...

Hoover Model 875 on eBay UK

Mine, the bag handle fork and badge are replaced. It has had a new paint job and looked like it had been repainted before.

    Eureka 260 Serial Numbers

Texbodemer - Since you are already in contact with the Mclean Museum, is there any chance you could ask for any images or additional data they have on the early models? Even as late as the G-R-M series and M262. I could not find a way to request images of individual documents as I could not find...
