Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

That Senior (Convertible!) on the far left is gorgeous!!  I love that colour, never seen it before I don't think.

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

"Headaches are a horror to suffer with." I know this all too well unfortunately, having suffered with almost daily migraines for the past 2 years.  Around 50% of the time they are just a very bad headache but for the other 50% they include sight-loss/distortion, nausea and numbness of limbs. ...

Call the doctor, I've got HOOVERitis!

Oh my!  Why can't I find models like that!?

    Clicking Carbon Brushes?

Ha!  That's the exact model I have, and surprise surprise the original motor of mine blew as well.  It is now running with a 800W motor from a 1993 TP2.

    Purple Puke Eater..

That Kenmore is looking gorgeous now!  What a great job you have done.   I love restoring old vacuums that have been abused to within an inch of their lives and then seeing them put back into daily use with GOOD treatment.  It is like saving a homeless animal; mending its wounds, feeding it...

    Clicking Carbon Brushes?

Out of curiosity, when you say "1000" what model do you mean?  A Turbopower 1000?

    Vacuum HAUL

I am not only fascinated by the HOOVER vacuums you got but also by that sweeper!!   When was that manufactured do you know?  It is very interesting indeed.

    Electrolux 504

<a name="start_29780.331809"></a>"Jamie, have you still got your 502, I remember you saying you was going to dismantle her. I love the 502 and got one in the loft."   Yes I do still have my 502 and have not dismantled it yet, but I am still certain that I will.  It is just beyond reasonable...

Good to hear more HOOVERs have came into your possession John.  I will wait patiently for the photographs...

    Electrolux 504

What a beautiful example of the best Electrolux model line produced - the 500s.    You were lucky to have a replacement internal hose for that as they always split on these models but spares are so few and far between.

    "Happy Birthday, HOOVER"

Can't believe I missed this!   It saddens me that we cannot praise Hoover in the present tense, but at least for the 80-odd years that they (not TTI or Candy) made the best quality vacuum cleaners in the world we can remember and be proud.

you hoover fan's will be impressed

    Hoover E I G H T H U N D R E D

What a gorgeous machine you have there.  I would just love to see it in person and hear that motor purr.

    Electrolux 502 Parts Available

Having bought the machine with the intention to repair a few years ago, I've decided just to strip it down and get rid of it in parts in order to focus more on my cleaners that are already working.   Anyway, the long and the short of it is that it is intact structurally (bar the bumper and...

Let's Turn Two Husqvarna Viking 507 Uprights into One Working Machine!

"<a name="start_29511.329563"></a>As for running around and turning lamps on, vacuuming at night isn't something I normally do."   A lot of older houses have "dark areas" though that aren't naturally illuminated, especially in big American houses.

Let's Turn Two Husqvarna Viking 507 Uprights into One Working Machine!

I just love the 500-series, they truly were ahead of their time when first released (much like the Dial-A-Matic/Convertible) and for UK homes they were the perfect size.    In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the size was a deliberate effort to steal customers away from Hoover's Junior...

    Compact Tristar

I feel the same, and to be honest if I had a bigger collection of Hoovers I would probably get rid of my "other" machines.  The only reason I keep them all is because I only have five Hoover models and the others keep a bit of variety too.  If I had 20+ Hoovers I'd have little/no interest in...

    Compact Tristar

"I'll "transfer the body" later tonight.&#34 You sound like you have done this before...   Just make sure it stays within a safe distance of the Hoovers, wouldn't want any cross-contamination.   Do you ever get curious about other brands machines?  Even HOOVER themselves probably took...

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

Bored!? I think anybody who says they are bored of these wonderful pictures should receive an immediate ban from VL!   My only hope is that one day I will have even 10% of the vacuums you do, that would make me very happy indeed.
