Odd to me Kenmore PN elbow

I can't place it, what era is this from? Do you have any of the models that have the dirt sensor Power Mate and LED light on the telescopic wand? This sort of reminds me of one of those. The wands that telescoped had a bit more swivel where it connected to the power nozzle.

What vacuums are you hoping would come out in 2022?

Good to hear from you Gareth! I always find it interesting how here in the US, it's the opposite, while cordless vacs are also very common here, uprights (or at least traditional uprights along with crossover type vacs like Shark style) are far more common than cylinder/canisters. I wouldn't say...

    My vacuum sightings

Today I went to the flea market. The only vacuum I saw was a salmon colored GE Swivel Top. It was a rust bucket, no hose or attachments with it.

    Looking for kenmore hose part

I found it here, I've never dealt with this company so can't say whether to use them or not, but there's the part number at least...

disappointment when an item becomes part of vacuum history

Kenmore I agree the uprights do need an extension hose option. I've also noticed the older Progressive models at the top end came with an extra extension wand and a bare floor brush. It seems like after they went to the Intuition and then the Elite lineup, they stopped including them for some...

    10 Amp Sharp?

I remember the teal one in a Good Housekeeping magazine back then. I forget but it was a test they did of vacuums, it was the issue with Goldie Hawn on the front cover, 1999 ish.

Iso of a hoover 2 tank wet dry vac

I remember seeing those in a Sears magazine we got once about 1997. I have never seen one in person, other than at my Habitat there's the tank to one that they use to display yard tools in. Too bad the rest is not there.

disappointment when an item becomes part of vacuum history

I feel the same way... I like to see the older designs still in production, yes, even if they are cheapened and made overseas. I also like when manufacturers still use old style attachments or bags in new machines that go back decades. And also trademarks, like Eureka was still using the "Dial A...

    Electrolux Oxygen Ultra

Those small tools look to be pretty good quality. I think I've seen those used with some Eureka models as well. That bare floor tool seems to be used by everybody. I've seen it on some higher end Kenmore Progressive uprights, Hoover used it on some of their uprights as well as the Constellation...

    Electrolux Oxygen Ultra

Was this the model that Home Depot used to sell? I remember them selling a reddish-orange Electrolux canister, an upright (I believe the folding one) and maybe a stick vac as well, all in matching colors. I thought this power nozzle was very sleek looking. I liked that long curved headlight.

    My vacuum sightings

Not much sightings today. Habitat had a mint condition gray Hoover Futura straight suction A gold Dirt Devil Swivel Glide bagged upright and a Stanley 1 gallon shop vac and a Genie yellow shop vac I thought the Stanley 1 gallon was interesting because it looks just like my HyperTough one I got...

Potential New Kirby Vacuum Model Discussion

I've been on this forum about 10 years now. And I just think it's funny how many times we've talked about a new Kirby model coming out, looked at patents, discussed improvements we'd like or what changes might be coming, and when the "new model" comes out it's just a slightly updated model with...

    Electrolux Grand Marquis

Yeah, I dunno. I've always preferred Kenmores since that's what I grew up around, but I can tell Electroluxes are quality machines. To me it wasn't that quiet, most of my canisters the power nozzle is louder than the canister motor, but this was opposite. A lot of people say Celebrity QS's are...

Original Big Green Brand New Thrift Find - $9!

Nice find. I remember seeing those in catalogs as a kid, and have seen a few in thrift stores. I saw the tank part to one in my neighborhood on the curb but no motor/pump unit to it.

    Electrolux Grand Marquis

I think this is the model anyway, I can't easily tell it and the other model apart. Anyway, I have this Electrolux. I got it ten years ago now when I started to collect vacuums. Habitat had way better selection back then. I think I got this because it was only $10 and I was in that phase of...

    My vacuum sightings

Today I went to two estate sales. One had a little Dirt Devil bagless upright for $50 (!!). The other had a Tristar (newer gray/black version) for $75. Looked complete. Today was half off. If I had the space I'd have probably gotten it, just to see what they're all about. I also went to a...

    Hoover advertising labels on vacuums

I've seen a few vacuums around with these stickers. I've attached a few on a Spirit, and the linked Convertible has one too. Anyone have these stickers on their Hoovers? These are the only ones I've seen with any...

    Newly Designed Bissell Powerforce Bagged

I like the colors on these too, and the simplicity of them. Simple, easy maintenance bagged vacuum. Lightweight and effective cleaner too, and not too loud.

    Newest acquisition!!!!!

Both very nice! That's one of the later Windtunnels for sure. That's the version I've been on the lookout for. For some reason, although the older ones are much more detailed in appearance, I like these later ones. Nice Dirt Devil too! I remember seeing those for sale back in the late 1990s...
