I dont have experience with any Orecks, but I do have a Simplicity Freedom S10S and I think it does a fine job all around. It's supposed to be 40% more powerful than an Oreck as it does have a larger fan and motor.

Just to put in my two cents.. Yes, most Miele products are very good for allergy sufferers.. however their uprights are HORRIBLE. (my own opinion) They are very awkward, hard to steer, big and clunky, and what I hated most was that swivel neck which made it that much more difficult to maneuver...

I just visited both websites and noticed that the Full sized canister line: Riccar/Simplicity Impeccable/Immaculate/Gusto/Moxie are now under "Limited availability" status and are only available in stores. Does anybody know if these are being discontinued?
