Best way to vacuum carpeted stairs

What's Your Definition of Best? Do you mean the easiest? What about the actual dirt pickup? Does that matter? When I vacuum carpeted stairs, I primarily have one one goal: dirt removal. So the machine of choice must have reasonably high agitation and as much airflow as possible. Think 150...

How Much Profit Do You Want To Make? Run these generalized numbers: Cheap Walmart plastic bagless vac for around $100 new. New Kirby Avalir2 system owner. Impressed engineer.

I'd love to read ASTM papers like ASTM F558-13, but you have to pay for them and they cannot be re-published in any way shape or form publicly. Rather aggravating isn't it? https://www.astm.org/DATABASE.CART/HISTORICAL/F558-13.htm I'm not paying $69 for a "white paper." For a dreadfully...

How to remove cooling fan of Rainbow E-2 Single speed?

Rainbow E2 Single Speed Motor Cooling Fan Removal is fairly easy. I performed a refurb on one back in September 2020. Removed and replaced the fan (and bearings) without issues and the owner (Thomas) has been running it since then. I'm saddened that some "experts" don't understand what "press...

Dreametech T10 Cordless Keeps Up With Full Size

and full power corded vacuums? Kinda, if they are older Dysons that is. Running on its turbo power setting, this stick vac slides in between a DC25 and DC65 when testing on medium pile carpet. The T10 would do better if it had a more aggressive brushroll, which would be easy to replace/upgrade...

    Carpet Washer Method

I've Had My Hoover SteamVac Widepath For over 20 years now. Very few issues. The big plus is the ability to dry the carpets after wetting them. The lower power Bissells I've tried do just dandy soaking and scrubbing but fail miserably when attempting to extract the moisture. Bill

Tempted by an Ultimate G Diamond Edition

The Four Speed Diamond Edition Since Kirbys already have two speeds (PN & hose) the Diamond Edition technically has four speeds. I nabbed one back in 2019 and not only did it look like a wreck, it smelled even worse. BUT everything cleaned up nicely.

    Parents new Rainbow

The Rainbow SRX is Very Weak A key factor is the new motor. Running somewhere around 800-900 Watts, the SRX no longer has the "oomph" it used to. It's supposed to be rated at 1400 Watts (higher with the PN). The previous E2 2-Speed models consumed nearly 1500 watts with the PN running...
