Any experience/knowledge on Allegro central vacuums?

The MD M715h has the 8.4 inch motor as well, and I think a much better bag arrangement and better built can. Or the VacuFlo DB8000 is a bottom empty unit with that motor which I also feel is good. I’ve installed two of the M715hs, one in a new install and one as a replacement for an Electrolux...

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

Interesting how this is exactly how I told him he should wire it... then someone told me I was wrong!

Miele Bags Letting Dog Hair Escape

Brano Filter We had this customer with a White Pearl who refused to buy anything but the paper bags for it, we’d actually have to order them just for her. She SWORE up and down that her pet’s hair (don’t remember if it were dog or cat) would leak out of the bag. I never saw it happen, but...

    Is this for real?

This would have been a vac shop paint job I’m sure.

    Early Kenmore Stick Vacuum?

    Servicing one at the moment!

    Modern Day Installed

Mike, were you with us in the old museum when Owen and I fired up that old Filtex? We used two Kirby cords to do the same thing as that device. It was while we were running it, with the intake covered, just letting it build suction then opening the utility valve. Made it bark like a seal! Every...

    Modern Day Installed

Back years ago, we had to have a whole sub panel installed to allow for adding in the 240v circuit for the central vac.

    Modern Day Installed

Also, which model of MD is that? My guess is either the M615h or the M715h.

    Modern Day Installed

I both own/use an MD as my primary vacuum, and I’m a dealer for them as well!

Well, I violated my morals and completely compromised my principles...

I might bring out my CleanMaster for some fun too. Could bring my 3 motor Filtex as well, I think Evan has all the same stuff as I do other than that. I know you have a SilentMaster S5 now, like I do!

Well, I violated my morals and completely compromised my principles...

When Edgar doesn’t approve... ...Eldon always concurs! But yes, I can’t wait to get out there in a couple months! And I am glad I got this thing, it’s a dust belcher for sure, but I’m going to try and find a suitable bag can to stick between the can and the motor pod, will probably have to...

Well, I violated my morals and completely compromised my principles...

And yet I still came out feeling good about it in the end... Well isn’t this sounding sultry already... but it’s all true, I swear!! A good friend of mine found, on FB Marketplace, a free central vac unit and all the attachments, you just have to come take it off the wall. I knew what this...

    Rinsenvac PB850

I’m pretty sure that thing uses a round belt, I kinda figured if mine went I’d try a round sewing machine belt on it.

    Kenmore spray mate belt question

Well, what you have to do is take the belt to a bearing and drive shop that carries belts, they can match it up. Otherwise try looking up the number on it, or you’ll have to count the teeth and measure the dimensions of the belt to find the right one.

Tons of questions to ask about Hoover in the 2000's.

The Foldaway and Empower use the non self propelled Windtunnel motor. I gone no hones idea who made those motors. In the pic, the one on the left is the one, self propelled one is on the right. I’d guess these were made by Johnson by the looks of it, but it could have been Ametek.

    Jeff Parker's mini meet

    What sort of central vac??

I’m not just a Kirby fan

Those were just to the OK side of mediocre, but the bagged versions are infinitely better than the bagless one!

    Anyone bought a Maytag Satellite??

As I understand it, the Maytag branded ones were sold mostly in Europe, over here we got it as a Hoover Constellation. I have that same exact stainless and black machine shown, but it’s called a Constellation.

    Shark UV 440-25

It’s not just that these machines aren’t meant to be taken apart, it’s the fact that so many of these vacuums weren’t made to last. They don’t intend things like Dysons, Sharks, Bissells, Hoovers... They don’t really offer a ton of parts for these newer things, as the manufacturer wants you to...

Did dirt devil copy shark? Or did they partner with shark to make this.

It’s most likely the same Chinese manufacturer making essentially the same thing for both... Not the kind of machine I’ve ever really noticed before.
