    Might get this for Christmas

I'd say go for it. We only live once and you've made some reasonable points. I maybe would've bought one if my grandparents were still around. Actually since you've mentioned about the old Featherlite/Vision models, I was just thinking about it recently. My grandparents probably would've still...

Hoover Steamvac: Direct Air or Bypass?

I have that same Little Green as Kenney's along with a 1720-1, both of which are direct air. They're alright but ever since we switched over to Hoover, huge difference because of using a bypass motor. Quieter, more powerful, and designed to seal up the air valve to let you know that the dirty...

    Kinda trashed Kirby

The bags from your G4 will also work on the Heritage II.

    Central vacuum install "pipe dream"

We had a SilentMaster with a Stealth powerhead up at our last cabin, it was the best central vac we've ever owned. WAY much better than our Beam at home. Our Beam has a Vibra Groomer III powerhead. It's a good powerhead, but it has some drawbacks. Uses a rubber belt, there's no height adjuster...

    SEBO Balance A1

Seems like almost everyone is now going for a bagless cordless stick vac these days if they still want to be competitive on the market. But I'm going to pass. I rarely use mine at home so once it dies, I don't want to get another one even if it's a Dyson. Same goes for the cordless hand vacs I...

    Kinda trashed Kirby

I also love the G4 as well, my second all time favorite Kirby.

What vacuum cleaners do you think will be forgotten in the future?

I think the ones that are the most forgotten about are not the ones sold from department stores or doot-to-door but from vacuum shops. With businesses declining and competition increasing, it's no wonder we lost many good brands over the years. Royal, Panasonic, Bosch, etc.

    Jeyes Hygienic Year?

I've never seen one as a SEBO before.

    Ghetto Vacuum Contraptions?

I did something similar with my other Kirby Ultimate G I used to have connected to a Ridgid wet/dry vac in a wood shop just for fun. It was WAY too powerful. So much suction was sealed onto the floor that makes it harder to move and the belt always stops.

    Kinda trashed Kirby

Those are my all time favorite Kirbys, hopefully you can hang onto it!

What vacuums have you seen in movies?

Recently saw Jumanji again and there was a red Sanitaire Widetrack shown.

Red square hood Hoover Encore Supreme

Never seen a square hood one before. I had an old neighbor who had one just like it but of course the hood wasn't square.

25 Years Of The New Millenium: Vacuum Edition

Best answer would be is to find old magazine covers or newspaper ads from that year.

My Return After A Long Hiatus & Why Bagged Straight-Suction Canisters Are Awesome

No, they don't. But I'll give them credit that the filters can be washed in the washing machine.

My Return After A Long Hiatus & Why Bagged Straight-Suction Canisters Are Awesome

The bottom line is that Mighty Mites have always used plastic wheels so regardless of what bare floor tool you'd use, you're still going to scratch wood floors. My Bissell that I bought shortly after selling my Mighty Mite has rubber wheels which is one of the reasons why it's a better choice...

My Return After A Long Hiatus & Why Bagged Straight-Suction Canisters Are Awesome

I spoke to John Van Leuven a few weeks ago who's the CEO of SEBO USA, and there aren't any new models coming out anytime soon at least not here in the US. He mentioned that some of the models like the Felix could use a facelift, but the only thing new we've already gotten from SEBO just recently...

    WTB Oreck XL upright parts

I think your best bet is to go to your local vacuum store or Oreck dealer to see if they have one they can scrap out for you.

    New Miele

According to John, those colors will be around for a least a couple years. I'd love to get the E3 Premium in mint green if I can for the cabin depending on insurance.

    New Miele

Yes I agree, definitely a cool looking canister. My favorite ones from SEBO are their green colors. They had this spring green which kinda looks more yellow, hunter green, and of course the current mint green as their limited edition. Curtsey of Manchester Vacs.

    New Miele

I'm sure your Felix powerhead is covered with the extended warranty like their canisters. Just not if the powerheads were sold separately. But I'm not sure if the Miele filter lights actually work, at least I've never seen one happen before unless I completely forgot about it. Honestly, I'm more...
