I think they're fine for scrubbing the carpets before steam extraction. But it's not something I'd depend on entirely. Personally, I'd prefer a commercial scrubber or at least a floor machine like a Kenmore/Koblenz cause they can get a bit closer to the edges.

They started doing that a couple years ago. But my local Costco never carried any. It's the one they've been working on back in 2009, there's a seperate thread about it. They also had another different prototype back in the 80's. But that's all I'm aware of.

The ones that come to mind are the early Bissell Little Greens like the 1653 or the 1720 and the Dirt Devil Ultra hand vac. I don't like using either machines as the result.

Very nice! I love Filter Queen, it's like using a shop vac for inside the house. Same with Rainbow, Silver King, FairFax, Numatic, etc.
