    KIRBY HERITAGE 2 FREE

I agree with Human These are also my all time favorite Kirbys and worth keeping.

    Well, I finally did it.

My grandparents were basically "forced" to trade in their two older brown Kirbys for a G4 back in 1994 when a salesperson came by. They didn't wanted a new Kirby but the salesperson wouldn't leave. Fast forward to 2012 I believe it was, another salesperson came by there and tried to give up...

    Retractable cords on upright vacuums

I will say when it comes to cord rewinders, I prefer the ones that uses a button or reels to manually pull the cord back in. There are some models where you have to give it a quick tug and it'd self rewind. I could care less about that because one time with my grandfather's Kenmore canister, I...

Bought a brand new Hoover today

I'm curious where you bought the Hoover from? I was at Target the other day and there was not a single Hoover vacuum there anymore.

    Retractable cords on upright vacuums

I love uprights with cord rewinders, at least with the ones I own and still looking to find. But just in general, wrapping the cords the old fashion way isn't my preference especially on canisters. I've seen uprights without cord rewinders that have even shorter cords like my Eureka The Boss...

(1997) Lindhaus RX Evolution 380 Electronic.

Either the cord was replaced or yours is a newer model because they all use yellow cords today. That being said, these are excellent uprights. Introduced in 1991, came in three different base sizes. In my humble opinion one of if not the best commercial uprights ever made, that's why they're...

    What exactly is the difference?

Wet/dry vacs are primarily designed to handle jobs that a Mighty Mite wouldn't handle. Like for example drywall dust, saw shavings, ashes, etc.

Let's see your favorite Electrolux cleaners

Here's mine This is my most favorite Electrolux branded model ever. I'm currently looking for the correct filter cover for it (supposed to be blue).

    Door to Door Brands.

I can confirm that Filter Queen is still around shifting to online sales like Amazon but Tristar is now history just like Aerus later down the road as I don't think they'll survive for much longer. It appears Patriot is also still around as well and the current color is red but I also have...

    New Aerus models

As much as I hate seeing Aerus go, I'm definitely grateful we have copycats on the market today that'd continue the legacy like the ProTeam ProForce which I think are the best Lux vacuums ever made. Or what I really like are companies that makes machines based off of Lux like the SEBO K3 but...

    $50 Tristar on Marketplace

That was part of the reason I bought a CXL was from Eric. Good times. Anyways, that being said. I'd consider a Tristar if it was built by IEC like my CXL. The ones that were built by Aerus I could care less about, I owned a MG2 before and I wasn't too impressed.

    Rainbow vs Sebo/Miele

That's great to see Rexair also offered an extension hose for the E2 models. I've only seen this once on another thread from a D4C. In addition, Fred serviced his Rainbow in his dishwasher including the motor which I'm sure you remember Mark. If I was using a Rainbow or a Kirby as a daily...

Is a manual carpet sweeper worth it?

I had a Shark cordless sweeper before, it was nice while it lasted. I also had a Bissell GoVac which I didn't liked as much. I was nearly close to getting a Dirt Devil cordless sweeper back in like 2004 I believe but went with something else instead. I don't think I'll ever get another cordless...

    Tristar CXL questions

I have one myself Not my personal favorite but it is a really nice machine. I also own a Electrolux canister as well. Between the two, each does have it's pros and cons. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd favor the Tristar over the Lux. I like how much more compact it is, I appreciate...

    free FITLER QUEEN 700

Usually that does solve the problem from my end. Can't say for certain as what Owen pointed out, it could be either the brushes or the motor itself has gone bad if polishing the commutator doesn't do it.

    free FITLER QUEEN 700

I'd polish the commutator in the armature first before replacing the brushes or the motor.

    Rainbow vs Sebo/Miele

I don't know what your budget is or what your house blue prints are but if you're looking for something that won't stink up the place at all, the best vacuum in my humble opinion is a central vac. With having a unit in the garage or basement and venting it outside, you won't smell anything at...

    Rainbow vs Sebo/Miele

Rainbow definitely can't please everybody. When I was a kid, I thought they were shop vacs for inside the house. The very first time I've seen a demonstration on a Rainbow was when I saw a YouTube of comparing the E2 Gold to the silver Miele Capricorn just showing that Rainbow "doesn't" trap the...

    Rainbow vs Sebo/Miele

One thing to note if you're set on a Miele, I'd recommend buying one from the red Home Care line. Those are only sold through dealers but they have an extended warranty for up to 5 years. The rest are 1-3 years. That's one of the other reasons why I like SEBO more cause they offer a longer...

    Rainbow vs Sebo/Miele

Honestly, both are great filtration wise. Miele does have a slight edge cause their bags are like the best that I've seen, and if you upgrade to a HEPA AirClean exhaust filter, you're guaranteed to trap 99.99% of dust. But as what Tom mentioned, the bags are expensive and so are the filters...
