    Hello & some Eureka/Sanitaire parts q's

You can still get a brand new metal motor for your Sanitaire. There's a company that makes copycats of Sanitaires like the Bissell Big Green (coincidentally Sanitaire is also owned by Bissell now), they use metal motors that'd fit on your Sanitaire.

Discovery Plus Gets a New Lease on Life

Paul, I agree with you on the Windsor Versamatic. I think they are one of if not the best commercial uprights ever made. I like the Lux style uprights, I even own a couple myself. But I favor my Kenmore/SEBO machines as they (and Lindhaus) pretty much perfected the Lux design.

    RIP old Vacuumland.

It appears the sister site (automaticwasher.org), at least for now, remains just the way it is. However, as what Kenny pointed out, nothing stays the same. I still miss the old YouTube days like for example when you had the five star rating, I know VidLii exists for that matter but not many...

In Honor of US Armed Forces Day

Forgot about Kirby That's a cool model too. I've also seen plenty of other vacuums with American flag stickers on their machines (and still do today) or at least on the boxes. I have a green Dirt Devil Vision that's not only made here but also has a three row brushroll where each strip is...

In Honor of US Armed Forces Day

As far as I know Tacony and Oreck are the only companies that actually sold "American" models which I thought was really cool.

    New Innovative Dyson FluffyCones PencilVac

"I think it just changes the way you clean." Nope, I'm not buying another cordless stick vac once my other one dies completely. I'd buy another broom and dust pan that'd certainly last for many years. And certainly nothing beats a corded hose vacuum for bare floors.

    Eureka model 2061 D

My great aunt had one before, though it's outer bag bag got replaced at some point. When she passed, I wanted to take it home with me but for whatever reason someone already got rid of it.

Im just really surprised as all

Listing has been sold Since that link won't be around for much longer, it's better to post pictures instead for the record. That was one of my mistakes when I posted a link off of eBay before, it was my actual first time posting here on VL 10 years ago. Anyways, that's one of if not the worst...

    Black and Decker CA1440 found.

Very interesting Other than the central vacs and wet dry units, I've never seen another full size machine from B&D besides this 1400W bagless canister which reminded me of a Panasonic but it wasn't made by them.

    Central vacuum install "pipe dream"

You'd probably get a kick out of this Mike. Here's a YouTube video of someone receiving a DrainVac Viper out of the box. Not only it had a defective Ametek motor but also the replacement motor is in fact a Ametek motor as well. Basically tells you that DrainVac is no longer using Domel motors at...

Im just really surprised as all

I wouldn't mind owning the green bagged version if I had the space. I did had a blue one before but I sold it due to lack of space, however I'm after the blue Twin Chamber version. The one that I'd really love to find would be the black Turbopower 4500.

Im just really surprised as all

I recently did a video on my green Twin Chamber. Yeah I agree that the lid doesn't provide a proper seal. However, it wasn't Hoover's first bagless machine. They had dust cup models that came before this like the Decade 80 for example, but they're half bagged and half bagless. For being the...

    Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturer Lawsuits

There's several One that pops my mind the most was when Hoover sued Bissell for copying their Elite and SteamVac which Bissell had to pay the fine.

Im just really surprised as all

Yup they were Another great example of Maytag's terrible engineering team. Not only it'd clog up instantly and be a pain to clean the filter out but also the filter cage has terrible seals where dust would easily escape to plug up the pre motor filter. I'd definitely take a Twin Chamber or a...

    Central vacuum install "pipe dream"

Mike There's a couple of things that the article failed to mention. They recommend using a ActiVac III filter, BUT they are extremely (and ridiculously) expensive to replace! A replacement exhaust vent that'd last for years is a night and day difference price wise. And the ActiVac III will...

    NSS Porter?

From my understanding, those Marshall uprights are made by an Italian company (not Lindhaus) who also makes uprights for Karcher and Tornado.
