    Happy Canada Day!

I love their central vacs. Not alot of people talk about them but apparently Canada has a huge market for central vacs. According to what one person from Canada told me, newly constructed homes are now required to have a central vac installed to meet the Canadian health code.

    Central vacuum recommendations?

The CycloVac you're thinking of is a good option. They do offer an extended 25 year warranty.

SEBO E3 vs SEBO E1 vs Miele c3 Parquet

SEBO would be a better option.

    Central Vac DIY Questions

One safer way to clean the commutator without taking the armature apart or turning it on is to use a wet/dry vac with a 2 1/2" hose and seal the end of the hose where the fans are at and the motor would spin at a reverse direction. Then I'd use a cleaning stone and give the commutator a good...

    Another photographic mystery

I saw it inside the handle, I mean the white triangle area looks like a trigger to me.

In Honor of US Armed Forces Day

SEBO is now having a fourth of July sale on select red, white, and blue models. That's very cool of them to do so! I like these red ones the best if I had a choice. https://sebo.us/july-4th-sale

    Another photographic mystery

I could be wrong but it reminds me of a Bissell Proheat. Maybe it is because the handle appears to have a trigger indicating it's a carpet cleaner.

    Central Vac DIY Questions

I'd say fix it up and give it one more try. Strange to hear this is the second time it's happened that quickly because it should last longer than that. But in all of honesty, this wouldn't be a SilentMaster or a single motor MD unit of my choosing. I was told once that CycloVac had a warranty...

Trash Found Triple S Versamate (Sebo 350/1st Gen Windsor Versamatic)

The BS360 and the Versamatic both use the 1055 bags which as of today they're made out of paper. The 370 and the Versamatic Plus use the bags like all the other uprights (minus the new lightweight ones). Lindhaus labels their HealthCare Pro as a TOL model, at least according to Al who's a...

Trash Found Triple S Versamate (Sebo 350/1st Gen Windsor Versamatic)

I didn't say they're the same machines, you're correct they do have some differences. I say similar because they both do share some things that are alike with each other, even that Triple S really does remind me of a FELIX/DART. L shaped nozzle, brushroll indicator lights, manual height...

Trash Found Triple S Versamate (Sebo 350/1st Gen Windsor Versamatic)

They are one of my all time favorite designs ever. If I were to buy a new upright today, that or a Lindhaus similar to it would be my first choice. You know where they say if it aint broke, don't fix it. Well, I'd say there's always room for improvement. And they did just that over the years...

Unusual Green Dirt Devil Plus in Wisconsin

Very interesting, I would've liked these more than the hard case models.

    Riccar R27

Their central vac power units are assembled in Canada by Trovac Industries who are the makers of CycloVac and several brands they eventually bought out like Beam, Cana-Vac, Hayden, etc. Speaking of Hayden, the Simplicity Summit/Riccar 2400 uses the exact same Panasonic power nozzle as the...

    Riccar R-40 P2 Upright - good/bad?

Twin fan, double stage, I don't see a difference in what you call them. Personally, I'm a big fan of twin fan motors and I'd rather use a machine that has one. I usually find them to be quieter, more pleasant sounding and reliable. Sometimes even more powerful as well but that'd depend on what...

When all you own are bagless vacuums

I got all my Rainbows for super cheap, one of which was given to me. I never found any of mine difficult to maneuver. Like you, canisters aren't my favorite either. However, in some situations like my grandfather's cabin for example, having a canister is WAY better suited than an upright...

When all you own are bagless vacuums

Rainbow's motto is wet dust can't fly, this is true when it comes to emptying out the water basin. Rainbows are the cleanest bagless machines I've used. Some bagless machines you can get away with not having to empty out every time you use them, but this is what I like about Rainbow. Rainbows...

    Riccar R-40 P2 Upright - good/bad?

They are, however the Titan doesn't use a twin fan motor as the CleanMax line.

    Riccar R-40 P2 Upright - good/bad?

Both the 7850 and 8900 were great machines, one of my personal favorites as well. You can still get similar machines to those today under their commercial brand called CleanMax. Or there's a company that makes clones of those machines called Cirrus.

When all you own are bagless vacuums

More than one person I can think of have always owned bagless vacuums at least from what I recall. They're examples of what I should NOT own, coming from someone who has mild allergies. While bagless machines don't need any bags, you're forgetting they have filters that do eventually need to be...

    WTB: Riccar R20 Ultra Premium

I'd keep your eye on eBay, occasionally I'd see them pop up from time to time. Or check with your local Riccar dealer for any trade-ins they'd get.
