    Hoovers

Good find! I have one too. What is noisy is the motor is vibrating the hood, which causes the headlight lens to rattle. That is what you are hearing. All of mine rattle like that too. I thought about finding some way to put a rubber seal or something on it to secure it.

Aerus LLC (Electrolux USA) 100th Anniversary Models?

Yeah when a company changes its name this many times this often, it's usually going through the "shareholder circus" and it's not long for this world. Impossible to run a business model that way, it's basically a life support machine with someone feeding it dollar bills like a broken candy...

3D printed Hoover 20 blade fan

The issue with the metal fan would be if the motor is built to take that much weight and load. I wouldn't replace it with a metal fan, there's a chance you would increase the wear damage to the motor or overheat it.

3D printed Hoover 20 blade fan

Cost is not an issue, you do whatever it takes to repair the vacuum. It's about preservation. That's why people are paying $60-$90 for Hoover Elites now, nobody preserved them and they are all gone, so when they come up for sale, they command big money as people fight to get one.

Sounds like your typical Facebook/Craigslist seller.

    Asking for opinions

I don't think $40 is bad. The days are long gone when you could walk into a Goodwill and find dozens of them sitting around. More and more mom & pop vacuum shops are closing down as well, which further eliminates them from recirculating. I think I paid that much with shipping for my Decade 80...

    Dyson DC50 Compact Ball

The 3 main problems these ball series vacuums have is like you noticed, the lower hose inlet clogs up. The other issue is with frequent use the plastic kickstand wears out and it will not stay up on its own anymore, and the third thing is if you ever have to service the motor, you need to be a...

3D printed Hoover 20 blade fan

It's just a download template, you need the machine to make it. I would bring into concern how it would hold up to high RPM forces and not explode into pieces. As I understand, 3D printed plastic is weaker than actual factory formed plastic.

    Electrolux Model 1205

I have found the blue 1205 is the most popular model collectors want, so those always sell.

Potential New Kirby Vacuum Model Discussion

"a lot of companies rehashing old products as new again." Hasn't Kirby already done that for the past half century? lol

    (I found another) 1995 simplicity 5000B.

A problem with the Panasonic models, which this one will also have, is the belt is a dirty belt system. Whatever you pick up can go to the belt and damage it. If you pick up too much grit at once, it will cover the belt and then the grit will make the belt slip on the motor shaft and it will...

Huh what a strange nuance. It maybe came from the same owner who upgraded a model.

    Forgotten Hoover Products

Never knew Hoover made a shop-vac. It must be rare because I never seen one in all this time. With Shop-Vac holding the monopoly on shop-vacs, it could not have been easy to sell them, which is likely why few bought them. I would imagine the quality would be better since they were likely sold...

    Forgotten Hoover Products

There were Hoover garage vacuums too that mount on the wall. Came with a huge coil of hose. Every time I try to get one I get outbid by scalpers.

    Electrolux LX questions?

Once you remove the panels, hitting the dents from the backside with a peening hammer and a nail set should pop the dents out. Work delicately. I personally just leave the dents, it keeps the history of the vacuum and it's not worth the effort.

(1988) Electrolux Special Edition model 1572E.

If I remember the slider switch on the Electrolux Epic series uprights was a rare option that was only used for a year. It makes me wonder if they were using recycled chassis from this model.

I like the color. ShopGoodwill just had one up but it was "pickup only" 0 bids.
