Francisco,   I agree with Tolivac. The Royal 18" wide nozzle is not well suited for home use as it is difficult to maneuver around furniture. It is much better suited for commercial environments where there are large open areas of carpet to vacuum. The 14" wide nozzle is easy to maneuver...

I absolutely love my Royal 8300. It is very powerful and maneuverable and it deep cleans my carpet better than my Kirby Sentria. I will never sell or trade this machine.      

Jack,   you may want to consider Royal's Commercial line of metal upright vacuums instead of the household model. The commercial Royal is available with standard 14" nozzle or 18" nozzle for large open areas of carpet. Check out this video:
