    Kirby Avalir tool holder

I wish Kirby would go back to the "RooBag" that came with the Classic III and Tradition machines. The RooBag is a large bag with a coat hook on top. It has many different sized pockets for holding all your attachments and it hangs in the closet like a Garment holder.   In this photo I...

    Which High Dollar Vacuum?

Markhenry:   FYI - All of the Kirby G series machines, including Avalir, are capable of using the newer Kirby HEPA bags. When using a HEPA bag in your Kirby, you will actually be cleaning the air in the room as you vacuum.   Also, because of their massive airflow, Kirby and the newer...

Kirby Avalir VS Kirby Sentria II Questions

HonestJoe68,   There is no difference in performance between the Avalir and Sentria II. The only advantage of owning an Avalir is that it has a far superior carpet shampoo system that also scrubs hard floors. You can purchase the Avalir shampoo system separately and it will work just fine on...

How to change individual brushes on Royal brushroll

The plastic strips seen on many Royal brushrolls are not used for brush replacement. Those strips are called Brush Stiffeners and act like beater bars for vibrating the carpet.    When the brushes are worn out, you need to replace the entire brushroll.

    Kirby Avalir with red trim

Like I've said here before:   Kirby will not replace the current G10 Avalir with a completely new design until they can come up with one that out performs the current model. There are many top secret prototypes in existence at the Cleveland factory but none of them can beat the performance...

What would you say is the prettiest upright vacuum that is currently available for sale?

Best looking vacuum of all time...   "Really not possible to make any determination since pretty much all modern vacuums look and perform like crap today."    "There's something about shiny metal, and red or blue on a vacuum that really makes it look sexy!"   Since I agree with both...

    My cleaning business vacuums

Fan damage... Tacks, paper clips and even a wooden pencil will not harm the robust metal fan in a metal Royal upright. I know because I own one. Beware that some larger objects such as coins may cause  damage to the fan so one should always be on the lookout for those larger objects.

    My cleaning business vacuums

@vacuumdevil,   Why would anyone want to buy a an inferior cleaning PLASTIC vacuum like the Sebo? Rob is correct. You are a sniveling, whining little snot. The new commercial Royals not only clean much better but will easily outlast a Sebo by twice the Sebo's normal lifespan.   You...

    My cleaning business vacuums

@vacuumdevil:   It's obvious (and it's easy to tell) that you know I've been right all along about Royal and other Direct Air vacs are the best way to go for commercial cleaning. You just don't want to admit it because you're a sore loser.

    My cleaning business vacuums

@vacuumdevil:   Pay close attention to this video starting at 35 seconds in and continuing on and you will see that the Royal commercial vacuum is the best selling commercial vacuum in this market area.   Using a Direct Air machine for commercial carpet cleaning is the only way to go...

Royal Metal Uprights - Belt Question

Ben,   I only have one Royal, the 8300. I do not remove the belt from the motor pulley shaft while not in use and I have found the belt easily lasts me a year or more. I typically use my Royal once or twice a month.   ~Stan

    My cleaning business vacuums

@vacuumdevil:   "for commercial use you want to avoid direct air machines like that Royal, Kirby&Oreck . Especially with that Royal now that most of them are Chinese machines the aluminum is quite cheap and far more prone to breaking when you accidentally suck up a rock or a paperclip. Plus...

If you are going to run a cleaning business, you really need a machine that will stand up to heavy use for a long period of time with only basic maintenance like belt and brushroll.   You need something like this:

    New Vacuums/Vacuums Wanted

Funnynet1231:   Why don't you get a Real metal vacuum like a Kirby or Royal instead of those cheap plastic vacuums that break down after a couple of years of serious use?

    Kirby Sentria squeaks when rolling

I have also heard of the front wheels squeaking on some Kirby's. If that's the case, a little 3-in-One oil should take care of the problem.
