    Hoover model 725

'tis amazing... I don't usually rave about vacuum cleaners, but the quality of construction of this is just amazing. Imagine if they had to build the HOOVER DAM TODAY? They'd build the entire thing out of particle board, pex tubing and foam panels!

My annual trip to North canton

Hoover Shop-Vacs! Just look at those, quality is amazing! They look like they came out of some turbines on the Hoover Dam! Maybe they built that too!

    Powerhead Evolution?

SO I bought this used TriStar MG1, works very well, very convenient small tank on wheels, which has a well made but very basic powerhead which works just fine on my apartment supplied omnipotent low-pile tan carpeting. Which got me to wondering, there were in the past much more elaborate power...

TriStar MG1 - need some advice here.

I bought a used MG1 and I am noticing that air coming directly out of the rear (front?) exhaust vent on the main canister is hot, like really hot after a minute or so. There is no burning smell, no weird noise, all seems well but I am concerned. This really throws off a HUGE amount of heat...

What fascinates us about vacuum cleaners.

Quality long gone... I have a TOOLKRAFT small 13" drill press from the early 50's and the quality is just incredible; plus it has a conscious design to it. I was trying to figure out what it would cost today to build something like this and I'm thinking like $1500 at the least. It sold...

What fascinates us about vacuum cleaners.

Strangely, I have suddenly developed an unnatural interest in VACUUM CLEANERS. Just bought a Tri-Star MG1 that I drove 120 miles in the boiling desert heat to get (but it was well worth it at $60!) Here in Los Angeles, you can go cuckoo with vacuum cleaners, CL has 500 online any time you...
