    Electrolux brushroll question

Nope, same thing. Did you locate your model numbers? Does the eBay listing include a part number? Btw, I got to thinking that the earlier Super Js came with the model PN-2 power nozzle, so that would be a different brush roll.

Finally got a power head for my Eureka

You bet, Edgar. As far as I can tell, the solid colors were used for the non-illuminated power heads, and the striped decals, which were introduced around 1983 went with the illuminated models. Originally Eureka Roto-Matic power heads had faux woodgrain decals, then went to solid colors on all...

    Electrolux brushroll question

I was unable to open your link. If you look at the bottoms you should be able to find the model numbers after "Rug Saver Power Nozzle"—likely PN-4 or PN-4A. Two part numbers I located for the replacement brush roll are EL104 and 26-3520-01.

    Well, I finally did it.

Awesome story, Joe! I'm so happy for your success in buying your own home and a brand-new Kirby to help keep it and its furnishings spic and span. You have a good head on your shoulders in using your Kirby background and strong business sense to get a fair price. You earned it...

    Eureka 1981-1984 Animated Ad Campaign

"Eureka Gets Dirt You Can't See" was the campaign tagline featuring Carpet Critters produced by the award-winning Kurtz and Friends animation studio, including animators Robert Peluce and Bob Kurtz, with direction by Mr. Kurtz. One of several television commercials: Photos: 1. 1981 Apr 30...

Finally got a power head for my Eureka

Kudos on the conclusion of your longtime Eureka Roto-Matic power head search. Your patience and determination in locating it and then to repair/retrofit the hose connection is impressive. You sure don't give up easily, which I'm sure will add to your enjoyment of owning and using it. Btw, I...

    Eureka Vacuums History

Another surprise for you, Brian ... The 270-A and 260-A, sporting a 50th Anniversary decal

    New Aerus models

Good point about the copycats. I just got to thinking that Lux's 125th is coming up next year. Maybe this time around they'll do something more substantial like a new model. One can hope anyway.

    Untangling Eureka USA's "Christmas Lights"—1957-1982 ...

Hi Brian! Good observations, as always. I just looked at a photo of a D-360, which would have been the only drop-down model prior to the 258, and I saw no toe switch, so you're probably correct that the 258 can be tagged as the first. Going by memory, other models with the toe switch were the...

    Untangling Eureka USA's "Christmas Lights"—1957-1982 ...

Re: Replies #13 & #24 Attached is a FB photo of an unidentified 1960s Eureka Deluxe that appears to be a 258 with the same Platinum Blue hood as the one in reply #24 (identified model-type 258-B in a YT video); albeit a replacement bag cover (guessing it would have been the same). Newspaper ad...

Another FB listing I yield to others' knowledge to determine its model designation.

3.0 Eureka Shipping and Production History Pre-1947

Model G30 on FB & Some Patents Listed on its Rating Plate I was unable to find the Des 1137 ... patent; trying several different digits and combinations. It would contain the main design of the G30. It's curious how over the years Eureka used a variety of wordmarks on its name plates and...

    New Aerus models

Sadly, I agree. It seems surface care appliances have become Aerus's sideline compared to its mainline purification, oxidizers and heating products. I'm even uncertain that it actually manufactures anything on its own; being more of an assembler, packer and distributor along with service and...

    Final year-vac store clean out

Sounds good, Jimmy. Btw, as far as I know the Golden Crown had two different versions: models 960 and 960-A (unless the -A had a different top color). I'd be interested in knowing if you had both, and what the noticeable differences were. I've seen newspaper ads without naming the model...

    Electrolux ZC90

Nice going, Anthony. You might consider asking an auto body shop what they'd charge for pulling out the dent. I think they typically take something like a plunger for body dents and make quick work of it. I once did something similar with a clogged hose after I foolishly vacuumed up a bunch...

    1970s Errands—including an aqua Electrolux Model G

Just for the record ... You were all close, but Jeff nailed it. I checked out Ford Country Squires and Mercury Colony Parks. Looks like it's a '67 Merc. Wouldn't it be great if each year's vacs underwent slight cosmetic variations, so we could figure them out like that, too? Right on, Jimmy...

    Final year-vac store clean out

Thanks, Jimmy. I've since gotten to thinking I'd rather have a Golden Crown. When time allows, let me know if you spot any along with at least a matching green fair condition hose and floor and dusting brush tools. I don't expect a full or perfect set, but would like to be able to use it for...

    New Aerus models

2021 Lux S115 Jubilee Edition Lux International's 120th Jubilee edition is the reason the Aerus Guardian Platinum underwent a cosmetic update circa 2021. I'm still surprised that Aerus did nothing to mark its 100th last year—not even a decal. In fact, AB Electrolux produced a 100th anniversary...

    1970s Errands—including an aqua Electrolux Model G

Online photo—not my family Dad tries out his new Polaroid while his loving wife and children oblige him before leaving for home in their (paneled?) station wagon after a grocery store haul. Seems the ol' Model G needed a new hose and maybe got a tune-up to boot!
