    Electrolux Intensity

I fixed many over the years they have many issues. I've got one I think that needs a few parts sitting around I keep meaning to fix it up they are such a strange vacuum. Definitely worth picking up and putting in the colleca collection. They weren't particularly powerful but they did filter well.

Hoover Elite 200 & the cheap elite family.

After doing this video it made me wonder how many different variants there really were of the Hoover Elite. These machines are so cheap and disposable back in the day it's hard to think about anybody saving one. So my question to vacuumland is does anybody have different Hoover Elites lined up...

    Unknown year for Oreck magnesium.

That would happen quite often. The adhesive with the date code sticker often fell off after a little bit of use. You can kind guess it's date ,based on if it's a plastic base or a magnesium base.

12 years later after sitting in original box.

I opened this time capsule 12 years later after it was sitting in the original box for all that time. I'm amazed at how smooth the motor was after just sitting there not being used. I'm sure anybody with a lot of vacuum cleaners can attest that sometimes when you go a long time without using one...

    Vacuum Collections Pic Or Videos

How would we share a video on here without YouTube? Here's a really short video of some of my collection though I've gotten quite a bit since the video was done.

    Favorite rare 80s-2000s vacuums?

I'll let somebody who's more educated than me tell me what's the rarest machine in this photo. My guess would be the Windsor sensation or the Electropure. That being said I never see the little simplicity canisters or 200 series Miele's talked about. But the rarest of them all might be my...

Does A HEPA bag = HEPA filtration?

Yes according to many manufacturers. However I wouldn't consider that a "sealed system". However if we're talking about a vintage maybe not so since a lot of them do leak air. However if you washed out your machine and install a HEPA bag with a gasket, I wouldn't be worried about air quality...

@panasonicvac OVO is atrocious quality. So there's the reason you wouldn't buy one.

    The last vacuum collectors convention

I'm really sorry I couldn't make it this year. Is it just me or is the article not say why it's going to be the last?

    The first USA Miele

@uxlife wow what a great story! I really appreciate you sharing that I've always wanted to imagine how they were first received on the American Market. As far as their distribution these days they do distribute some of our lower end models to box stores. However it's really not a problem for...

What's the American equivalent to Henry, popularity wise?

@electromatik My understanding in Canada that canisters and Central Vacuums the most popular type of vacuum cleaners. Especially with how much grit they have to vacuum off their hard surfaces in Winter uprights kind of take a second seat over there. But if there's a study that says otherwise I'm...

    Cirrus Unit Made By Tacony

My understanding was that everybody was getting that vacuum from the same Taiwanese manufacturer that they had originally worked with. Really the only difference is who could sell it and what color with which name. I'm much prefer these vacuums to their current lineup of Riccar. But the quality...

    The first USA Miele

I thought you might all enjoy the intimate look inside the first US Miele. Fun conversation I really think back then it had no advantage over its competitors other than possibly filtration and maybe a step up in quality over the Kenmore at the time. But really was it any better then the Eureka...
