    Kirby Ultimate G help

TexasKirbyGuy I might look at those in more depth once I get around to getting the parts I need for mine (whenever that'll be).

    Kirby Ultimate G help

Human -I already kind of knew that a new Tech Drive pedal wasn't going to stop the grinding (though maybe the clicking). My main concern is being able to have control over it, instead of it always being turned on. Though, could you give me a link to the grease you're talking about? It'll...

    Regina Housekeeper Commercial??

It's all in the name... If these were used in hotels, then you'd have housekeepers using Regina Housekeepers! I'll see myself out...

    Kirby Ultimate G help

A little backstop if I may... A few years back, my daily driver was my dad's Rainbow D4c. At first I loved the machine, but after about a month or so of using it, I got tired and resentful of the wood-paneled nightmare. However, I couldn't use any of my other machines as they were either...

    Most unpleasant-sounding vacuum ever?

My 2 cents I'm not a fan (no pun intended) of how modern low-end Bissells sound. It's like they're trying to sound high-tech when they're obviously anything but. The sound of G-Series Kirbys in tool mode is also very grading after a while of use. The EBK-360 is also pretty annoying from what...

    Kirby Accessories are kinda weird

Human I don't really think that Kirby is going to go down that route, at least not anytime soon. I've got a feeling that someday they'll come to their senses and realize that they need a successor to the G series in some way, shape, or form. If they did turn to making cheap Walmart vacs, that...

    Kirby Accessories are kinda weird

TexasKirbyGuy That's the thing, the Generation series isn't completely solid and reliable. They have a few problems that should be addressed, but they seemly haven't. 1. The cords. Whatever rubber they use for them isn't the most durable, and has apparently been known to catch fire. 2. The...

    bagged and corded stick vac

If you don't need attachments, then a classic Oreck would probably be my pick. Just be sure to use HEPA bags and get serviced if it needs it (being used and all). Maybe one of the higher end Orecks might also be a good fit if you really want the swivel neck (also that Hoover ONEPWR bagged might...

    Kirby Accessories are kinda weird

KirbyG6, JuJu93, and others. -That's what I remember hearing about with the inflator/deflator tool. Maybe if they drilled a few extra relief holes in the attachment, that'd put less strain on the motor. I haven't used that tool for anything outside of trying to clean my desk and keyboard as...

6 year old me is sqealing in joy right now!

Update #2 Today I took my Breeze for a test drive around the house, and I gotta say, I was decently impressed. Here are some of my findings (which may or may not be surprising to those who've also used this machine. 1. It seemed to clean alright. It got up a lot of fine dust and hair. I should...

6 year old me is sqealing in joy right now!

Centralvacs1928 That's reassuring, but I still have some questions. -Can you elaborate on the difference between the sparks getting worse and them wrapping around the commutator? -Can the carbon brushes be replaced to alleviate the sparking?

    Trade-in piles!

cool pics :] They remind me of that one post where someone found a giant pile of machines in an abandoned building, and snagged a blue-line Sanitare from it.

Homemade Kirby Shampoo mix I remember using.

Blackheart I would've thought that the mixture would've replicated the "crystalization" process, but I'm no chemist. I do remember it leaving the carpet a little sticky, but I did vacuum it once it was dry as per the directions.

    Kirby Accessories are kinda weird

KirbyG6 Could you elaborate? I heard that they can cause damage to the machine, but wouldn't that just be with normal use.

    Kirby Accessories are kinda weird

KirbyClassiciii I can only speak on behalf of the G Series machines, as the only pre Tech-Drive machine I have is a Dual Sanitronic 50, but not any of its accessories.
