The early bags were always too fragile. Over time they all become stiff and brittle. Often split at the bottom near the bellows and corners snag. Finding a nice example that hasn't hardened over time is sooooo hard. My 65s bag is pretty stiff. Bag doesn't inflate much when running anymore.

The 15 food cords were always hilariously short but kept it looking near when wound up. My favorite thing about these early convertibles is the red switch!

Beautiful machine. Very awesome find! I'm glad you got it! I had a convertible 68 that was my great great uncles machine. Almost unused. Incredible shape but had a bad smell from it. Should never have parted with it.

If you are behind the machine looking at the emptor it twists counter clockwise off.

Nice machine. I love the 60 Series. My 63 is my prized possession. All original and damn near perfect all around. Super quiet and smooth running. Makes the best daily driver

Couldn't pass up the offer on a free Kirby sentria complete with attachments and shampooer. It was clogged up pretty good and is pretty tarnished and a few deep scratches. But hey why not.

I absolutely love the sound of the concepts. One of my most favorite Hoover sounds. Very recognizable. Also not many machines can groom as well as the concept! Thanks to that excellent brush roll.

Some of my concepts I've had. The blue ones are my grandpas. I took one of them Miss my concept two but it had some issues.

Thanks fox. I have always loved concepts since a kid. My grandfather has two he uses all the time at his home. Love their sound and style. Really want one with the chunky grip and cloth outer bag again. Hopefully some day.

Picked up this nice concept U3103 power drive today for $10. Looked pretty clean so figured why not. Little dirty but it will shine up nice. Slightly on the noiser side for a two speed concept I think but it's not too bad. Power drive works excellent.

Is mine above a model c? It has gold lettering on the bag. Not sure what the original shade of fabric would have been

I have a vacuette. It's been at the vacuum shop getting worked on for a few years now. I mentioned it to the owner. It's still down there after all this time haha. I'll have to see what kind of progress he may or may not have made. It doesn't wind up anymore.
