    Healthmor Princess 2000 upright

Im lucky enough.. When I was in the basement of the vac shop I frequent, I found an entire shipment box full of genuine princess upright bags!!! How does airflow compare to other clean air vacs? The only video I found with a princess was against a royal and we all know why royal won the...

    Kenny Vacuum Sweeper

These types of vacuums where made in the early 1900s and work by rolling the vacuum along the floor, rolling the vacuum makes the rods that are connected to the bellows pump air through the vacuum, they aren't very effective but are a cool piece of history. As far as price goes it's hard to get...

The vacuum bug has bit again..

After spending most of my afternoon off looking at older used vacuums on ebay, I was lucky enough to get a princess 2000 upright by filterqueen with the basic 3 tools,an extension wand and an extension hose. I've heard about them for awhile and do understand they are uncommon but wondered if...

    Best Vacuum for Hard Floors?

In general I prefer the convenience of an upright, the only 2 that I have found to do a good job on bare floor would be the electrolux discovery and the vorwerk vk117 with the combo tool in floor mode. Other than that I find that a tristar a101 with a tacony hardwood floor nozzle(the one with...

    Canisters that Agitate

The answer is simple.. And your totally right about the fact that Kirby and Maytag have fairly "normal" brush roll. The reason direct air uprights have such good agitation is because of their airflow. It's airflow not suction that lifts carpet off of the floor and then as the brush sweeps the...

Hi everyone, I recently got this model 14 and I'm trying to find a handle spring to keep the handle from falling over. Cheap bagless vacuum with a "good" airflow

I think this goes a long way in proving the point that you don't need a large motor but a (relatively) straight and simple air path to get high levels of airflow.I mean a 12 amp Dyson has the potential to have high airflow but when you stick 20+ cyclones between the hose and motor, you start to...

    How much could I get?

Thanks all! I kinda figured that a d50 wouldn't fetch as much as I initially thought, on the upside I did just get a d80 to add to the collection so maybe I'll just hold on the the 50 for my collection also.

What's Most Important To You: Filtration, Airflow, or Ergonomics?

Well I'd say that airflow is important but so is filtration. Personally I like to use my Filter Queen when filtration is important and my Kenmore branded Singer twinfan or Kirby D50 when filtration is less important

    Kirby vs Metal Royal

I personally cant stand the new royal in fact I have a one of the new pro series metal uprights and i never touch it. Its noisy and not of the fit and finish a Kirby is. Personally I'd stay away.

    Who knows Kenmore?

So recently the great people over on automatic washer helped me pick out my 1965 Kenmore wringer washing machine and I got to wondering what kenmore labeled vacuums would have been selling at that time? I'm not very familiar with who sears had contracted with to make kenmore labeled at that time...

    Kirby duel sanitronic 50

Would fan 119078 be the amodel fan that I need for a d50? And how hard is it to change the handle spring? Mine wasn't installed right and when I tried to fix it I broke the screw the spring holds on to.... Needless to say I'll be replacing that

    Kirby duel sanitronic 50

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a Kirby expert that would be able to tell me what the list price of my machine was back in 67. Also are the handi butlers and rug renovators common to come across or will this take some digging? So far I have the d50 which has 3 green wheels and a green cord(those...
