What about a nifty Dyson "Automatic Vac Wash"?

Ok, Brian, just for you... I've dismantled my DC14 cyclone pack. At 12.15am, lol Now first off - a disclaimer: I do NOT encourage home-repair! Following these steps WILL void your 5 year warranty with Dyson. All repair work should be carried out by Dyson service engineers ONLY! Now, ignoring...

What about a nifty Dyson "Automatic Vac Wash"?

I get the point of the idea, but like Shanon, I don't se The DC07, the first Root Cyclone Dyson upright - also, the first Dyson model sold in the US - had a cyclone assembly that was partially welded together. This is the only one which requires blowing out with an airline. Since, then, which...

    Dyson filters

It is possible that you find the issue more exaggerated with the DC24 than your previous Dysons, because the bin is smaller than other models, and distance between the bin-wall and the shroud is smaller. Therefore, there's less room for the debris to be flung away from the shroud, and it's...

From the people who know it best...

You may recognise the room we're in, and particularly the table we're sitting at, from the 'Inside Dyson' section of Dyson's website. The famous 'tension table' is contructed of 2 sheets of laminated glass supported by wire cables, and gives the illusion that it's floating in the air! However...

From the people who know it best...

In August 2008, I, along with many people on this forum, made the pilgrimage to 'the holy land' of North Canton, Ohio, to visit the birthplace of one of my favourite vac brands. On January 27th 2010, I made a pilgrimage to my 'other' holy land, Dyson HQ in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. This is the...

What did my Tax Returns buy me...

A few detail shots... The 2 removable blockage check valves have been replaced by a single, clear, hinged U-bend. The automatic change-over valve is much more like the one used on the DC24/25 models.

What did my Tax Returns buy me...

Here's mine - the Dyson Absolute DC27 All Floors. I didn't go for the more expensive Allergy model because I liked the colour of this one better, hehe. Also, I already had the mini turbinehead, and I don't really need the HEPA filter since no one in the family has allergies.

Hi Matt, congrats on the new purchase - I'm sure you'll be very happy with it! It's an improvement over the DC07 in just abouy every way! The same great constant performance, but packaged in a much more user-friendly shell. I've scanned the UK sales leaflet for the DC27 for you - as you've...

what did I do to my dyson?

Any chance you could provide us with a video clip of the cleaner making the noise? I can't imagine that simply vacuuming a mattress pad can have caused damage...you're sure nothing's caught in the brush-housing, or wrapped around the end of the brush bar?
