(2015) Evolution Prestige Dustcare model 6502Z.

Hmm... I keep seeing listings for what appears to be a dual fan motor for the 6500 I wonder if they changed the motor in the at some point? Or perhaps it's a case of the dual fitting them so they advertise it for the 6500. As for the other piece I have seen one of them in the wild on a 6500...

(2015) Evolution Prestige Dustcare model 6502Z.

Cool. You don't see too many of the Evolution ones pop up anymore. The 6500, if memory serves used a 2 stage motor and had a little mechanism to shut the brush off when the machine by diverting the belt to an idler pulley. Overall they were a nice solid simple machine.

    Dual Fan Airway

Has (vacuum) science gone too far? That's quite the setup. Motors put in series will boost suction but airflow isn't affected too much. It's certainly quite unique though!

Holy! You're using one of those carpetwins? Those things are absurdly heavy it'd probably be quicker and easier just to use a lighter machine LOL. Yeah I can't say for sure what caused the damaged piece but I think if it had been broken in use it would have fallen out. it was just held in it's...

just to clarify I was talking about the carpetreiver As for the dayton ones those appear to be a dual motor (1 suction 1 brushroll) and i've seen a similar design come through the shop which I think was green. It used a round belt and wasn't very impressive IMO. They also brought in an Oreck...

oh those! We've got one of those at work they're actually a triple motor, 2 suction motors and a brushroll motor. The main switch turns the suction motors and the brushroll switch, which the brushroll only runs when you hold down. makes it convenient for hard floor spaces too. They seem to work...

Ah interesting I thought it was just some cosmetic changes to differentiate it but that's interesting to know that someone else had actually built another machine like it. What has changed about the Sensor line to show the quality difference?

One vacuum many names Yeah I knew it was made by someone else I THINK mastercraft is the one making them but I'm not entirely sure. They've been sold under various names and brands, As you've mentioned Oreck (comvac) Kirby (Comvac various widths) Powr Flite there's also a similarly designed...

Sure I'll try to use it a bit more over the next few days run some visible debris tests and get back to you. So far, it's a little on the loud side but not overly loud. It's got a height adjustment system that reminds me of like a royal. one pedal to raise the nozzle another to lower it...

Hmm... Ridiculous as it may sound I think i'll wait it out it's not like i'm hurting for a new cordless machine. Certainly looks promising though!

Oooh they have finally landed! You'll have to let us know what you think of it when you've had more chance to use it. I like the idea of it but I'm not thrilled with them being made by king clean. Certainly looks nice though and I'd think with the repution of numatic behind them they'd be a cut...

Curious of all your thoughts on this

Onepwr Yeah it's kind of a shame they were hovering around 200 for a while which is a pretty good deal but the design lives on under the commercial lineup with a 40v battery now. OH I guess those orecks as seen above are part of the commercial lineup

Curious of all your thoughts on this

Not fond of it We've seen the Hoover name on the cordless orecks we've seen the royal name on an oreck too. It's weird but I can't say I'm surprised by it.

    Tristar EXL

Some revisions My my such an old thread and man was I clueless at the time. The CS does not use a brushless motor it's a brushed motor made by Johnson Electric there were rumors that it would be brushless and I think it having the brushes near the front of the fan case only fueled this rumor...

    Kirby motor bearing

Well... From what I've read the metal shielded ones are better for high speed environments due to the heat conductivity of the metal. Where rubber gaskets are better for keeping material out of the bearings like dirt or water. You can use either or in many cases, it seems. I tend to use rubber...

Commercial backpack vacuum for household use

Oh! Well I'd just go with a Proteam FS6 then. I have one and it's airflow according to my readings are 123 cfm at the hose end for the 1.25 hose with the electric nozzle kit or about 149 CFM at the end of the standard non electric 1.5" hose. They do have hepa after filters as standard. So...
