I found a ProTeam ProForce 1500XP In The Trash.

Too bad! Unfortunate that it was missing vital components! You should know though that these used a much stronger motor than the original Electroluxs The one i've got has a 2 stage domel made motor. I quite like the machine it is supposed to be my daily driver due to it's features and low cost...

    Dirt Devil HEPA bags?

Royal branded There was hepa bags made for the dirt devil U. They were made under the royal brand and typically came in a 2 pack https://vacuumdirect.com/products/royal-type-u-hepa-filtration-vacuum-bags-2-pack-genuine-royal?variant=35783699401

What are the point of looped handles?

A guess I think they're probably more comfortable or usable for people with low grip strength. Oreck's Helping hand was, if memory serves, approved by some arthritis group which makes leads me to think that.

Picked up a Westinghouse Wired Deluxe WST1550

Neat You don't seem to see too many of those Westinghouse versions pop up. I am curious though what's the bin setup like? It doesn't look like the typical dual cyclonic setup I'm used to seeing in a Fantom machine.

    Rug doctor acquired by Bissell?

Saw some ads this morning that said Rug Doctor by Bissell. I can't help but wonder why this merger was done. I feel like the big green was a superior machine to the classic Rug doctor.

    Riccar Spirit

Prima discontinued I see. Rumors abound on this board so when i read something that seems....iffy I like to check it out and I've found no other sources. When I mentioned it to another collector who formerly worked for a Riccar dealer he seemed quite surprised by that mentioning the R+D that...

    Bissell made "Pig" predecessor

Hmm... Is the email in your profile current? I was just checking to see if you had a discarded housing for a 7.2" motor. I'm looking to make a "pod" to connect to my canavac so that I can try out a series motor machine. Already got a matching motor that was "Open box" for a good price.

    Bissell made "Pig" predecessor

Intesting I just assumed it was the Bissell we're all familiar with but to know it was another company entirely is interesting. BTW I sent an email off to you asking about a motor shell It's probably in your junk folder

    Riccar Spirit

Prima discontinued? What's your source on that? I've been unable to find any other sources so i'm a little curious. I like the performance of my tandem air canister but i will say having worked on one now it's easy enough to work on but the build quality could be better and the main motor could...

    Bosch Upright SK 1

Interesting! We've seen some similarly styled machines over the years from GE, Atrix and Lindhaus But i'm almost certain their bags wouldn't be compatible If you're feeling up to you could design a 3d printed adapter to use a more common bag type. Tinkercad is pretty user beginner friendly.

    Bissell made "Pig" predecessor

Came across this on an auction site. I've heard mention of it but never seen one before. It's pretty clearly quite old and it looks to be missing it's wheels and outer bag. https://hibid.com/lot/213610999/bissell-vacuum?ref=lot-list

    Miele Guard series

Hmm.... I think the L1 looks kinda ugly, and almost cheapened like one of those Swedish electrolux badged machines we had. I also question why it has app connectivity, I can understand that for a robotic machine but for an actual corded vacuum it just seems....ridiculous. I know there's a trend...

WTB Lower amperage eureka upright for project.

Found one! for 2.50 no less lol. I'm planning to change the base out so i can use the more modern hex ended brushroll since i've got a spare VG2 laying around. and replace the metal fan since some of the fins seem a little bent.

    I bought a Stentria II!

Huh... Surprised no one's said it yet but what you have isn't a Sentria II but a Sentria. They're the same machine with a different look though so not like you're missing any performance.

WTB Lower amperage eureka upright for project.

Motor Hey Jake, unfortunately I don't have a machine i'd sacrifice at the moment for that. Is it a blender or pancake style motor though? I'll keep my eyes open for a compatible model on my thrift runs.

WTB Lower amperage eureka upright for project.

I'm looking for a 3 or 3.5 amp model eureka upright. I've seen a few on ebay but it's like i'm looking to potentially permanent mod this so i'd rather not take a collectable off the market for this. Anyways just needs to run, and have a height adjustment, it can be ugly. Let me know what you've...

Another person asking what vacuum to buy...

How about this? It has some flaws to it, it's gonna be top heavier than what you're used to and the narrowing airpath can create a clog point if you're carelessly picking up larger objects since the hose in the head is wider than that of the attachment hose. That said It's under 300, not...

    Blue Kenmore Magicord

Bought this from (i'm assuming) another collector back in 2022 and it's barely been used since so I figured I should re-home it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/145871660765

    Central vacuum recommendations.

Just my 2c If you're gonna get a central vacuum get the most powerful unit you can. I've done SOME measuring of central vacuums and Their performance is kind of all over. (measurements taken at 30ft hose) Beam 2100 Baird 3.5 or about 72 CFM Broan CV40 (dual motors in series) Baird 5.5 or about...

The brand new Delphin from Germany

Neat. It looks pretty promising from the video you sent Tom. It sounds like there's a fair amount of airflow as there was a noticeable hiss when the hose was disconnected. I do have to question that separator and how it will hold up over time, being easily removable is great but like will the...
