    Black and Decker CA1440 found.

Cheesewonton That is neat I've still not found the Samsung equivalent but it's neat to see another variation! It also has a slight different tool storage mine has space for an upholstery tool, dusting brush, and crevice tool. Did they have an on/off switch for the brushroll? It just seems so...

    Finally!

Congratulations Always nice to find a nostalgic model! That may be the same model as my first Oreck. I have a very similar one boxed up in the garage, having a slight preference for my Teal 4090

    Black and Decker CA1440 found.

Years and years ago before I was even a teenager (I think) my cousin had informed me of a vacuum sitting next to a local dumpster. I, of course, being a kid just had to check this out. I ended up bringing home one of these Black and Decker canisters. It was so different for me having grown up...

Let's see your favorite Electrolux cleaners

Nostalgia One of the very first canisters I had ever seen was the Electrolux Marquis. My older sister brought me with to do some cleaning for an elderly retired school teacher whom, i later did some work for, and she had this Electrolux Marquis. Of course i was fascinated by it, it had a...

    NSS Porter?

Hmm.... I don't think it's an add on. I thought it would have a fan of some sort but looking at this schematic it seems to just be a dual brush battery powered sweeper.

I kind of want to get a car wash vacuum for my collection.

Dunno I'd guess about 60 lbs it's really not so much heavy as it is bulky.

    Oreck Dual stack printable parts.

I had a local business create some scans of parts for my Oreck in case my repairs failed. The fan model was gone over by him to be printing ready. The others are more raw scans they look pretty good aside from the base but i can't guarantee anything with them...

I kind of want to get a car wash vacuum for my collection.

Do it! I found mine on marketplace for 100, it was about a 3 hour trip away and I met up with some fellow collectors, or ex-collectors in that area. The coin box had been vandalized so gutting that part and bypassing it was the cheapest option to get it up and running. It's really more bulky...

What OSHA regulation states that commercial vacuums need to have 3 prong cords?

Not sure but.... Double insulated devices can also be utilized. Like Numatic vacuums.

How good are Kirby Carpet Shampoo Systems/Portable Shampooers at cleaning carpets?

shampooer I've used them over the years but yeah they're definitely not as thorough as a water extraction. I mean I know they're supposed to like crystalize and take the dirt with them but It's like would you put soap onto a surface and not remove it? I think it's better than nothing but it's...

    What Are These Antique Attachments?

Huh..... Unlikely but it reminds me of a compressed air/ venturi vacuum. That handle grip makes me think it may be a possibility perhaps utilizing the exhaust of the unit to clean in addition to the suction?

Does anyone have, or even ever heard of this???

I've seen one. Years ago when i was still working part time at the vacuum shop, we had one of those come in a lot of trade ins from a door to door dealer unfortunately it was in poor mechanical shape and i didn't have the skill at the time to restore it so it ended up being pitched

What do you do about vacuums you're partial about?

Collecting Isn't a logical hobby, If something grabs my interest I just go for it ya know? If you find space is an issue you can always scale back by looking at what you do actually use and what you feel more attached to.

Homemade Kirby Shampoo mix I remember using.

Hmm..... I don't like the idea of applying dish soap to carpet in any amount. It's something that's made to be rinsed away. I know Kirby soap will leave some residue but I think the vast majority of it would crystalize as that's what it's intended to do.
