Worst trash find I've ever seen

Jordan, send me an e-mail with your address. I threw everything away except for the upholstery tool, dusting brush, and turbo tool because I figured that I might find another machine one day that was missing those things and then I would have them. Even the extension wand was cracked! Now...

Worst trash find I've ever seen

Gary, thank you as always for an informative and well written repsonse. With Hesco, you have to be a vacuum store owner to order from them, right? Jordan, I never made it to the dumpster... I got engrossed in a sewing project and forgot all about the V2... I'm going to look at a couple more...

    Steam floor cleaners

I feel just the opposite about the Hoover Floormate... different strokes for different folks, but I have barely touched mine since I got the Haan. It is loud and you have to empty the dirty water and to get any serious dirt up you have to go super slow and make numerous passes... The steam mop...

    9 Top High Tech Vacuums

I think they should have had the LG Follow Me for the high tech canister. A vacuum that follows the user is pretty high tech. I don't know about quality or cleaning ability, but high tech, yes.

Worst trash find I've ever seen

Sad ending for this guy... I'm taking it back to the trash, where it will litterally rest in pieces instead of peace... I went to thrift shops and checked Craig's List and Ebay for donor machines... none to be found... I called vacuum shops and parts places and the ones that didn't start...

Worst trash find I've ever seen

Bri, I just found out how brittle it is... I've torn in to the machine and have most of the salvageable parts soaking... I'll post pics later, but OMG! ALL the screw posts are broken... ALL of them and there are multiple cracks in the clear cover... which I had to dismantle the whole machine...

    My New Toy!

I've never used one that new before, but what a cool find. Does it have variable suction control built into the power switch? I always thought that switch looked like a slider with variable power, but I've never been around one up close before. I like that the dirt sesnor is on the bottom...

Worst trash find I've ever seen

Thanks, Sean. I haven't been brave enough to tear into it yet, but I did look on Ebay and it seems that most of the parts are available. I took the floor model apart at Sears once because the clear inlets got dusty and I didn't think they should have been... they were meant to be clear! I...

Look What I found on Bissell's Website

I wanted one of those last year, and I may have bought one, but they weren't available in stores, so I never went for it. I didn't like that there was no electric power nozzle and that there wasn't an auxiliary grip like on on the original big greens for deep cleaning. Still a neat idea, but...

Worst trash find I've ever seen

So, I just had a neighbor bang on my door at the crack of noon (which is equivalent to 5 AM to most people because I work my second job until 3 AM)... I threw on some clothes upside down and inside out and groggily answered the door, hair a mess, sleepy seeds in my eyes, and creases fron the...

    my collection

Very diverse collection... nice mix of low and high end, vintage and modern, and upright and canister. The Broom Vac is fun, isn't it?

    Sanyo Transformax Find!!!

I got the same one a few months ago for 20 bucks at a thrift store... It is a fun, unique little vacuum. I wish it came with the attachments, but it didn't. I also wish they'd made one with a real power nozzle.... but the suction is tremendous, it isn't loud, and bags seem plentiful on ebay...

fixing an Oreck, could use some help...

DJ, thanks... I remember that about the bumper now (I took mine apart when I bought it to give it the spa treatment, but it has been a few years). I don't like my Oreck (the only Oreck I've ever loved was the Edge... still waiting for the day when I see one on C/L for 20 bucks) (mine is the...

fixing an Oreck, could use some help...

Wow, thank you! I do have the bumper (somewhere) and will put it back on when I get the base plate screwed on. I want to clean the bumper first because it looks awful. I bought 5 genuine belts for my Oreck a few weeks ago on Ebay, so I will put one on for her since I only have 1 Oreck and...

whole vac Here's the whole vacuum if it helps with knowing how old it is... I never noticed that it said "simply amazing" under the word Oreck on the bag!

fixing an Oreck, could use some help...

underside Here is the underside of the machine with the new part installed. I'm not sure what to do with those wires... they were taped down when I opened it up, and I thought that they may be preventing the plate from closing properly, but it doesn't seem to be the case... The wire that is...

fixing an Oreck, could use some help...

I have a friend who told me her vacuum wasn't "sucking" anymore and asked me if I could have a look at it. It's actually her boyfriend's vacuum that his grandmother gave him and since she's passed away now the vac holds sentimental value... When I initially looked at it, I could see that the...

    got this today for free

There are screws on the bottom that you remove to take the hood off, just remember which ones you took from where... I got the same one a few year ago from C/L for 10 bucks and it's a cool machine... the handle release pedal is broken on mine, how is yours? I got the original attachments and...
