    My first E Series Rainbow...

More dirt... Which way is the brushroll supposed to go by the way? The chevron pattern looks backwards, but this is how it is in every picture I've seen.

    My first E Series Rainbow...

So, I got a Rainbow E-series today after wanting one for years. I was told that the 2 speeds with the brushless motors were better, and I thought that's what this was, but it was not... I wasn't about to change my mind after driving an hour just because it wasn't a two speed. It's the...

    Rainbow alternative Ritello

I found an E series for 200, but it's only the hose, power nozzle, and canister which means I'd have to buy all the attachments and the aquamate separately... what do you guys think? Is it worth that? It's an hour away if I do decide to do it....

    Rainbow alternative Ritello

Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one it happens to... I just wish people would take their ads down when something isn't for sale anymore and respond when you write to inquire about something... it really isn't that difficult! I could get the newer style power nozzle and trigger...

What was/is the best Hoover Vacuum?

Best is Hoover CONCEPT 1 Worst is Hoover Empower, though any of the machines that use the dreadful tower filter are in the running, the Empower excels at lacking durability, style, quality, user friendliness, and ability to maintain power! At least the Z, the inefficient monster that it is...

    Rainbow alternative Ritello

I just missed out on the deal of a lifetime and I'm pretty sad about it... I found a 2 speed Rainbow E series on C/L for 50 bucks... it came with electric and non-electric hoses, the shampooer, the power nozzle, all the attachments, and 2 bottles of shampoo... and it was 50 bucks! Of course...

Maytag Vacuum Cleaners made in USA

Tom and Evan, you are BOTH torturing us slowly by describing such amazing vacuums and not showing pics LOL I'd definitely appreciate some if either of you get a chance :o)

Another version of the Hoover Sebo Copy

I hate to interrupt a fight with actual discussion, but does this machine come with a dusting brush or is one available for it?

Another version of the Hoover Sebo Copy

No matter what anyone thinks, it's always exciting to get a new machine, so congratulations!  Does this have the automatic height adjust or the manual one?

    Over-Priced vacs on eBay!

I just wanted to address madabouthoovers comment on the popularity of Bissell in the US...  I think they are quite popular because of their low price.  I think they are mostly the machines for people who can't afford anything else or don't care enough to spend decent money on a vacuum... or...

Another version of the Hoover Sebo Copy

I read somewhere that Hoover waited until the Sebo patents expired (actually, I think I saw that in the Govacuums.com youtube video of the Insight)...  I prefer the black version...  this one just looks cheaper (maybe it's just the color) but it seems to have just a touch of the T series flavor...

    Over-Priced vacs on eBay!

Well the same machine is 47 dollars new at Wal-mart.... 80 for one without a return policy is a bit much.

miele S7 I Changed my Opinion.

I have the Salsa too and I got it a couple months ago from the original owner for 150...  it was missing all the tools, but I fell in love immediately.  I noticed that Bed Bath and Beyond here has discontinued carrying the Miele uprights and now have 2 Miele canisters instead... one is the...

Hoover floormax versus Koblenx cleaning machine

Used the Koblenz to do under the 'fridge today and it did a pretty respectable job...  it didn't get extremely close the the edges, but I didn't expect it to... that's that a toothbrush and a magic eraser are for :o)   That yellow stuff around the edges is some kind of adhesive that has been...

Hoover floormax versus Koblenx cleaning machine

Thanks for the responses...  I went ahead and got the Koblenz...  I ordered of from Wal-mart online and it was 139... basic model with plastic motor  housing instead of chrome and no T shaped handle, but it definitely does the job.   I have a Hoover Floormate and 2 Hoover Spinscrub steam...

Agressive Agitation may be hurting your carpet.

I think the dirt and sand left behind by the lack of agitation would be more destructive than agitation itself...  I've done experiments where I've only used straight suction machines for a period of time and I'm always shocked at what comes up when I finally use something with a brushroll...

Hoover floormax versus Koblenx cleaning machine

I want a dual brush scrubber and have been looking at these machines... Just wondering what the differences between the Hoover and Koblenz versions are. I found pads and brushes for the Koblenz on ebay but none for the Hoover... are they still available? Is one of these better than the...
