    Riccar 1800/Immaculate

I was wondering if anyone here has seen or performed airflow tests on the Riccar 1800 series machines. I have searched on line and haven't come across anything. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Thanks

    Ahhh. remember when......

Ah remember when.. @mark40511 Hello fellow Asheville native. I enjoyed your post. The huge Indian statue you mentioned was Chief Pontiac at Harry's Caddillac-Pontiac (now a Buick dealership same family). It was actually up on the hill behind a Sky City store. I was the advertising...

    Riccar Spirit

Riccar Spirit Hello everyone! I had a chance to help unbox and test drive a new Riccar Spirit today. I'm sorry to say I was underwhelmed. I can only hope that this machine is a low end entry model, and that a higher end model is coming. We used it on carpet with kapoc spread around. The...

    Riccar Spirit

Riccar Spirit @panasonic vacs I was a bit surprised with the Sebo X4 comparison as well. It didn't seem very accurate to me. I like the dual motor with a brushroll shut off for work as I am a professional house keeper. I have the Riccar R20P, an R25P, and an 8955. I replaced by home...

    Riccar Spirit

Riccar Spirit @ Blackheart Thanks for posting the video. I noticed a couple of issues about the machine. I would prefer to have seen a metal wand and the pistol grip handle( like the Borelli and the Simplicity in the video). I still didn't see a way to shut off the brushroll; which is sort...

    Riccar spirit

Sorry Blackheart I don't have a pic to share. I don't know why that link showed up. I must have made a mistake somewhere when I was posting. You are correct. It is the same as the Borelli! I have a feeling most Riccar dealers at least have the pic. That's where I got it from via a text.

    Riccar Spirit

Has anyone seen the new Riccar Spirit? I had heard that it was coming several months ago. Finally saw a pic of one today. Pretty much the same machine as the new Powr-Flite;but red in color. Hope they made the dual motor system so that you can turn it off and on. Riccar Spirit

    Panasonic built Miele

Miele S184 & 176i/Panasonic suction @Rolls rapide Thanks for the tip about the air leakage. I put some plastic wrap and tape around the area around the inlet where the hose connects; covered the area where the screws are. Wow, what a difference. Water lift gauge jumped by almost...

    Panasonic built Miele

Miele S184 & 176i/Panasonic suction @ Rollsrapide Interesting observation! The hose attachment area didn't occur to me. Thanks to everyone for your input!

    Panasonic built Miele

Miele S184 & 176i @evolutionclean1 Thanks for the feed back. Both machines have new hepa bags and pre-motor filters, and no clogs. Gaskets are in good shape' and exhaust filters are out. The S-184 actually had the Miele hepa Z bags with it. That was the first time I had ever actually seen...

    Panasonic built Miele

Hello all, I have recently acquired two Miele uprights; an S-176i and an S-184. Both were built in Spain; and have the 10 amp motor. I was wondering if this is a two-stage motor or not. Both seem rather weak(only pulling 40" of water). I have seen some machines that have rather weak suction...

    Panasonic Platinum plus upright question

Panasonic @panasonic vac The machine I have is just like yours in the video, but the model # is MC-V7358. The model I have without the clutch is MC-V5248. That was the one I was going to part with. Do you think that the discrepancy in the model numbers may be a different manufacturing year?

    Panasonic Platinum plus upright question

Panasonic vac question @panasonicvac Thanks so much for the information! I was actually hoping that you would see my post. I have learned a lot of Panasonic info from your posts. I will probably get rid of the one without the clutch. I have limited space; so can't keep both. It's a...

    Panasonic Platinum plus upright question

Hello all, I have two Panasonic platinum uprights. They're almost identical in the platinum silver color. One has the brush roll shut off and one does not. The headlight lenses are different. One is sort of an oval wrap around type and the other has a more rectangular shape like the newer...

    Panasonic Jet-Flo MC-6255 upgrade?

Hello all! I just picked a Panasonic Jet-Flo MC-6255 at a local thrift store. The machine is in excellent condition with the 8Amp motor. Not being a vac mechanic myself, I was wondering if any one has ever tried to put a more powerful motor in one of these; maybe one from the Kenmore...

    New Powr-Flyte

Powr-Flite RE: Blackheart Thanks for sharing the image. I do see the similarities between the two machines. I know someone who spoke to a Tacony rep. who said there was a new upright coming soon; probably next year. I assumed the version of the Borelli was probably it, but I could be...

    New Powr-Flyte

I had the chance to try out the new Powr-Flyte Borelli. yesterday. It seems to be a very nice and solid machine, and really aggressive on carpet. I am curious as to why they built a dual motor upright with no way to turn the brush roll on and off. I have a feeling we're going to see a new Riccar...

    RE:44572 Hoover Innovation bags

I have a near mint Hoover Innovation with attachments. I have been using the Hoover hepa Y bags in it. They seem to work very well! I picked my machine up from a local vacuum store. The ownner left it for repair and never picked it up. I got it for the price of the repair($25.00).

    Sanitaire EON

Hello everyone! I have a Sanitaire EON (SC-5500A) . I was looking at the Sanitaire website which claims that the new model(SC-5500B) has double the debris pick up on hard surfaces over the previous models. Has any one seen the newer model, and if so, does it have a rubber sealing strip or row...
