Reasonable Price For A Coffee Can Hoover?

Say I had $50. What could that get me? I know these vacuums aren't rare, because they made millions of them and they are super durable.

Again, it most likely took more energy to type out that wall of text than to just say "I disagree, but you can have your opinion." The wisest and most intelligent man is one who can admit that they were wrong, ever when they were not the one at fault. This is the last time that I will post on...

My philosophy is to just be nice. It takes a lot more energy to keep up an online argument than to just say "I disagree, but you are entitled to your own opinion. Good day." Of course, there will be the occasional situation in which anger or aggression is a reasonable response, but in most...

Reasonable Price For A Coffee Can Hoover?

Hello all! I have quite a few vintage vacuums already, but I lack what is a must have for any collector, and that is a "coffee can" style Hoover! However, as I have never delved into the realm of old Hoovers, I have no idea where to start! The most important thing to me is that it runs. I could...

Not worth it: Riccar/Simplicity tandem air uprights

Maybe someday I'll have to pop in for a visit!

    Sears Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac

The Kirby Vacuette hand vac was made by Douglass, a sister company to Kirby. Douglass sold that vacuum under many different labels, including their own "Busy Bee" label. I know that there was a Kenmore version, a Craftsman version, a ReadiVac version (another Scott-Fetzer Company) and an Oreck...

Not worth it: Riccar/Simplicity tandem air uprights

Dang. They really mistreated you, didn't they? I was going to recommend a Tacony cleaner to my mother, but I don't think I will anymore. Also, they might have committed a crime when they prevented you from accessing your personal property. Congratulations on your successful Aerus franchise!

    Sears Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac

I once sucked water through the motor on my 12 Gallon Ridgid wet/dry vac on accident. It's no big deal, because the actual motor has it's own cooling fan and is separate from the suction fan, unlike in a regular vacuum motor where the exhaust air is blown through the motor to cool it. Sucking...

Miele S7 or U1 Parts Needed or Motor Help?

Why not just tear out all the fancy gadgetry and wire the cord directly to the motor with a toggle switch? I don't know why Miele decided to go the plasticrap route and put unnecessary circuit boards in their vacuums.

    Sears Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac

Emerson currently makes the Ridgid and Workshop brands of wet dry vacuums, along with ProTeam's wet/dry vac line and the "Stinger" and the Home Depot Bucket Head wet dry vacuums. I have a 12 Gallon Ridgid NXT wet/dry vac (bought new) and a 16 Gallon Ridgid Professional Series wet/dry vac. (trash...

Aren't you guys grown adults? Seriously. You are arguing online over a 90 year old vacuum cleaner. It is really that hard to just be nice?

dysonman1... You HAVE to tell us the whole story behind your affiliation with Tacony! (If you want to, of course!)

This Ridgid WD1200 looks almost identical to your Sears Craftsman vacuum.

Hmc1981... You are complaining about people being rude, but your comment is the rudest one I've seen in this thread. You basically are telling someone to leave this site. Not cool.

Bissell PowerForce Compact 2112 Honest Review

I don't like the majority of Bissell vacuums. The bagged ones, however, I like.

    westinghouse vacuum style 498240 update

Nice vacuum! I would say that it was made in the 1910's-1920's.

Miele S7 or U1 Parts Needed or Motor Help?

If you take good care of the vacuum, I see no problem with bypassing the overheat cutoff.

Bissell PowerForce Compact 2112 Honest Review

Not all of them, just the bagless ones. The bagged Bissell PowerForces are actually a pretty good value for the price. But yeah, the PowerForce Compact is awful.

Dirt Devil 103 Hand Vac Belts

Mine does fine with the disposable bags. It's a great little vacuum for stairs. They're really easy to find too.

Oh wow! That's worth at least $200! Does it have all of it's parts?
