Electrolux Diamond Jubilee - where to get a new motor?

If the motor doesn't have any issues with it, then probably a good blow out and service will handle it. I definitely agree with everyone here that you may not necessarily need a motor, just warning you though, stay away from that new peanut motor.

    Lux Guardian Ultra

The Epic 6500- Legacy models always remind me of a hearse. Maybe that's just the funeral director coming out in me.

Electrolux Diamond Jubilee - where to get a new motor?

Pay no attention to their advice. Replacing the Diamond J motor is very worthwhile as those machines are the last series of the metal tank (Diamond J-Ultralux Classic). One bit of advice, though, do NOT let anyone put one of those "peanut" motors in the machine. It runs hot and will burn out...

    Nice Hoover Concept I

Funny you mention older ladies and this machine. I had one come in today for brush roll bearings and belts and we did it while the lady was waiting. She had no clue that it had two belts and finally gave up replacing her belt last year. When we ran the machine on the carpet to show her the...

    Air Way Woes

If it doesn't have a ton of suction, I would imagine one of the fans has worn out in the motor. This is popular in some canisters- older Filter Queens and Electroluxes especially. As long as the motor doesn't have any sort of strange smell coming from it, there's no reason the fan couldn't be...

    My collection of miniatures

I love absolutely everything about your collection. I've been thinking about starting a miniature collection for the store, but prices on eBay are so high for some of those items. Do you see much success finding them in antique stores?

    Lux Guardian Ultra

I went and checked this machine out in person last week. The one on display did NOT have Aerus on the side strips (that was disappointing). I feel like Joe Urso has allowed Aerus to take several steps backwards. Yes it looks very sleek on top, yes it has a tiny HEPA filter, yes it has a great...

    Hospital G

I'd love a Hospital G. Planning a backwoods antique store trip through NC and TN very soon, hopefully I'll stumble on one or some other old really vintage and display-able stuff.

    I Got a Riccar!

I can only imagine that eBay is trying to get even with sellers who offer low priced items and high priced shipping. I got out of the eBay/Paypal crap years ago...just too much work for too little profit.

Power Nozzle... Did that Electrolux Diplomat/Epic6000 power nozzle come with the Miracle Mate or did you add it or someone add it at some point?

Will this fit Rainbow E 2 Speed?

The plug into the hose is going to be different. The Rainbow wand will not fit the neck in the Eureka PN, the new PN-2 wands have a larger diameter than the old style wands.

My Kenmore Canister Power Nozzle has an issue

The height setting is easy- just make sure you have the head leaning back on the back wheels so there is no pressure from the adjustable wheels. It should all go back in with a swift snap.

    Acquired a Pow-R-Vac, info?

Chris, sometimes that behavior is expected of certain people. Its nice when people meet our expectations, though.
