Sure thing! It makes me even more confused about my Eureka 260 EK though. I'm wondering if there's a cemented date when each letter switch happened. Or, could it have been rebuilt, and given a new tag with the original serial number? Like, could my 260 EK really be a 260B?

Courtesy of the McLean County Museum.     My Eureka 260 EK falls firmly into late May 1964's serial numbers for the 260-B, so I'm wondering if one of the bookkeepers forgot to update the letter in the range, or if I may just have a bizarre example.

The McLean Museum sent me photocopies of their data. It looks like serial numbers for the 260 restarted in December 1960, with the introduction of the 260-A ending at serial number 101. The range stays the same through at least 260B. A flier for the Eureka range in October 1966 lists Eurekas...

I stand corrected I just found a large section underneath with  near-mirrored finish--in the same part, with no edge, meaning, either everything else dulled, or they missed a spot...

The brush roll The brush roll I recommended is for Hoover Convertibles. Basically, each model number just indicates color, and headlight/hood style. Mechanically, they're all the same.

Update When I plugged the motorhead into the wall, it worked.
