    Eureka Shipping Record 1964

Sure thing! It makes me even more confused about my Eureka 260 EK though. I'm wondering if there's a cemented date when each letter switch happened. Or, could it have been rebuilt, and given a new tag with the original serial number? Like, could my 260 EK really be a 260B?

    Eureka 260 dates?

Does anyone know when the Eureka 260 series was discontinued? I know I've seen Eureka promotional material from 1966 featuring it, and have seen newspaper ads as late as 1970 featuring it, but I suspect those may be remainders/leftovers. Eureka's shipping record only goes as far as 5/1964 for...

    Eureka Shipping Record 1964

Courtesy of the McLean County Museum.     My Eureka 260 EK falls firmly into late May 1964's serial numbers for the 260-B, so I'm wondering if one of the bookkeepers forgot to update the letter in the range, or if I may just have a bizarre example.

    Eureka Shipping Record, 1964

The weird thing Data scans will be coming today. The weird thing is that the serial number ranges are for 260, reset for 260-A, continuing with the B. My 260EK firmly falls in the range for 5/1964, but the column is for the B. Based on how quickly A turned into B (A was introduced with SN 101...

    Eureka Shipping Record, 1964

The McLean Museum sent me photocopies of their data. It looks like serial numbers for the 260 restarted in December 1960, with the introduction of the 260-A ending at serial number 101. The range stays the same through at least 260B. A flier for the Eureka range in October 1966 lists Eurekas...

    Hammertone Eureka Model K

I stand corrected I just found a large section underneath with  near-mirrored finish--in the same part, with no edge, meaning, either everything else dulled, or they missed a spot...

    Found This Old Hoover Yesterday

The brush roll The brush roll I recommended is for Hoover Convertibles. Basically, each model number just indicates color, and headlight/hood style. Mechanically, they're all the same.

    Hoover 450 questions

Hi! I just bought a Hoover 450. The motor just hums when switched on. Out of curiosity, how do I fix it? Would a Convertible motor fit in it? Nick
