5 Year Update Cirrus CR-79 Upright

I will say... this is the first vacuum I've ever had where I can tell I neeed to change the belt after a certain period of time. I'm not using it on high pile caret... but berber...you would think that would make the belt last longer... I feel like after about 2 years the belt needs changing...

5 Year Update Cirrus CR-79 Upright

Cool... In that video... he uses the same hose I have....but he connects it to the back port.....when really instead he should just pull the hose out of the vacuum and connect it that way... At least in my case when I connected it to my back port... there was BARELY any airflow....but connected...

5 Year Update Cirrus CR-79 Upright

Yep but I have to be careful when getting an upright because it must have a brushroll shut off since I do a LOT of above floor/hard floor cleaning with it.. I'm not 100% sure... but I don't think the 300/350 you can shut off the brushroll

5 Year Update Cirrus CR-79 Upright

Yep the hose is afermarket... I think the kit was in the $30s.. I had to use a small adapter I had that I just leave on the hose itself to connect to the wand.... You basically can do this with any vacuum that has a hose...though you may need an adapter That squeegee is for hard floor...

5 Year Update Cirrus CR-79 Upright

Hey - I don't think there's much interest in these vacuums here but I'll share anyway... I'm pretty sure I bought this November 2018.. so it's going on six years old. (not bad) I remember at the time I think I paid $379 for it. (or something around that) I think overall it is a really nice...

Looking for information about Kenmore Elite uprights

I remember back when I had a shark...online there were many reports of the hose that runs up from the pn cracking... although I never had that issue in 4 years of having my shark....I can totally see this happening... I wonder if it's an easy repair if it does? I doubt it..

Looking for information about Kenmore Elite uprights

Good to hear you're loving your intution. I often wonder about them.. I used to have a similar shark but hate bagless. I used that thing for 4 years... Question... does the bag chamber stay clean and does it have a good seal? One thing that I can't stand is seeing any dust in the bag chamber of...

Looking for information about Kenmore Elite uprights

According to vaclab.... these are not recommended (either version I assume) for low pile carpets... like berber... I was watching one of his videos about them... I think he noticed the brushroll spins extremely slow compared to other vacuums... even though it has tremendous suction... I think it...

    Rainbow E Series water evaporation

I can't give advice but I'll comment. I don't have the large basin just the basin my gold 2 speed came with. I always fill it with water about 1/2 inch ABOVE the dome and put a few drops of essential oil and I feel like I can clean for over an hour..when done and take off to clean machine and...

    Shark is best???

aren't the Kenmore intuitions basically a HEPA bagged Shark?

    Ahhh. remember when......

In my hometown in NC there were two dept stores called "Roses" and "Sky City" that I vaguely remember having good selections. There was a very small "Sears" store but if you wanted to go to a real Sears or K-Mart store you had to go to Asheville and Asheville Mall... which we did pretty...

A little pet peeve I have...

scrolling through this post on reply # 19 says It's not "as" sealed as some higher end machines because it's a budget vacuum... This confuses me... How can something be not as sealed? Isn't it either sealed or it is NOT sealed? I've literally never used a vacuum that used a shake out...

    Kenmore Progressive Canister Vacuum

I had 3 of these. One Lime green, one burgundy and one sky blue... Would I buy another one if they were available? No... Although I did like them they had 2 major flaws that bug me.. The bag won't always stay on the collar. One time I had vacuumed for about a week and opened the bag...

    Bernina upright

It's funny. Back in the early 2000s I had never even heard of Bernina...and now I think I essentially have a clone of one. A cirrus. And now after 5 years with it...The only thing I've had to replace on it was the handle...I really love this vacuum and how cheap it is to operate it...

    Quantum upright

I've gotten good info from his videos. I don't agree with everything he says...but I think people who work on all kinds of vacuums see and learn things and they almost become vacuum "snobs" if you will. Which makes sense. I'm somewhat of a vacuum snob (in some ways) I loathe bagless vacuums...

Bissell Little Green (how to find correct replacement O rings?)

So earlier before I made this post I had searched youtube and landed on a video of someone doing some random repair. I asked in the comments section about this and he replies to me that he's at the hardware store with the O rings he thinks will fit and he would let me know if they do and what...

Bissell Little Green (how to find correct replacement O rings?)

HOLY crap thanks for that ebay link... I searched google and kept getting wrong hits...that's EXACTLY what I need.. Also - thanks for the O ring recommendation. I looked up amazon and saw O ring kits for cheap. Didn't think of that.

Bissell Little Green (how to find correct replacement O rings?)

My little green is about 10 years old. Maybe even more than that...It works PERFECTLY except for one thing... I think the two O RINGS are disintegrating. What happens is the cleaner head is EXTREMELY difficult to get on/off. I have to use all my strength. If I mess with the O rings and try to get...
