    Mighty Maid

I have the red version of this. I would call them fairly uncommon, at least they are now. I am also looking for a brushroll for mine, if anyone might know where I might be able to find one.

    Rug Doctor - anyone used?

I will only use commercial type carpet cleaners, like the Rug Doctor. I don't feel that any of these new Eurekas, Bissells, or Hoovers really have the power to do it.

    Vacumm of the day 10/14/06

I am curious about the this model. I have never seen the hose before, all that I have seen had the gas pump style handle with the sliding controlls on the front. The canister also looks different from what I am familiar with.

    New Dysons!!

For belts, just give me a geared belt that I won't have to think about for a long time.

    Sebo canister or Air-way

You will about faint when you see what it gets from the carpet. I was shocked the first time that I used my central vac on our carpet that was only a few weeks old, and had been vacuumed daily since we moved in.

    New Dysons!!

I too like a bag that seals closed when taken out of the vacuum. It makes bag changing sooo much nicer.

    New Camera FUN!

Thats a strange, but very fun feature. I like how it makes certain vacuums really stick out.

Pictures of the New Oceanblue Vacuum Cleaner

I like the looks of it, they use a very nice power nozzle. I would love to try one sometime.

    Electrolux Quietness

Most older canisters, and even vacuums in general used to be much more quiet than we see today. Now we have soo many screaming plasic things that we are schocked to find something quiet.

New attachments for my old Compact

Miele has a pretty good turbo nozzle available. I have never had a canister that used a turbo nozzle though. My Miele's power nozzle has a similar brushroll, and it does a pretty decent job really.

    Sebo canister or Air-way

the power nozzle is the same on the Simplicity and Riccar, but the central vac wands have a different electrical connection for the hose than the canister version, as well as a more Miele like locking tab, the wand will only fit a Cen-Tec hose that has the correct metal tube on the end. THe...

The power dial. The camera made the black look foggy.

    Sebo canister or Air-way

The muffler is installed by connecting the pipe to each end, like any other fitting, just glue the pipe into it.

    New Dysons!!

Miele bags seal themselves closed as you pull them out of the vacuum, so no dust comes out. Many others have either a plug that you can snap in, or a sticky flap that will cover the opening. I agree, bagless vacuums tend to annoy me. But of all the bagless, Dysons are the most hygenic and easy...
