25 Years Of The New Millenium: Vacuum Edition

panasonicvac You're not wrong there. In the year 2000, Electrolux was still Electrolux, meaning Eureka didn't take over the Swedish side and Aerus didn't take over.

So What Really Happened To TTUEE2006/Tristar

IDK about the rest of you guys, but I suspect Eric Herbert was not a fan of me. I was 12 years old when he left the internet in 2009. He didn't like the fact that I was a young and mentally unstable child taken by a long-distance ex-girlfriend from summer camp that didn't work out.

In case y'all ain't aware, tristar (formerly known as ttuee2006) aka Eric is no longer on this platform. I was 12 years old when he left in 2009, and it was because he accused me of stalking his Flckr page. Due to my age back then alongside the fact that I was mentally ill and in a...

    What's everyone's opinion on Orecks?

Orecks are a love it or hate it type of machine. I could see them being useful for low to medium-pile carpeting. High-pile carpeting...I'll use something else. Even with a squeegee, Orecks are not meant for bare floors; that is where straight-suction canister come in.

25 Years Of The New Millenium: Vacuum Edition

oldcrankman That explains it. Also in the year 2000, Euro-Pro was a thing. Fantom was still owned by Iona and made up in Canada. Kenmore and Panasonic were also involved back then too, and so was Sanyo and Sharp. Oreck wasn't owned by TTi back then either. Simplicity and Riccar used to be...

The verdict is in: SHOCKINGLY AWESOME

Round of applause to Dirt Devil for designing a very nice machine. Proof that TTi may not suck so bad after all. That being said, the older bagged machines are better.

Whats the dirtiest vacuums you've seen?

Bagless machines are obvious examples, especially if it's not cyclonic. This also includes bagged machines that were poorly maintained.

25 Years Of The New Millenium: Vacuum Edition

vacsofprosper The Powerglide machines came out in 2001. The ProLite...I read in an article YEARS ago that it was released in 1999 (but I do not have proof).

    Hotel vacuums.

I agree. If the hotel room is all bare floors, a backpack machine or a bagged straight-suction canister like the Eureka Mighty Mite will work.
