Anyone recognise these bent ends?

The comment about China referenced where such stuff is manufactured. If something gets made wrong, colour, design, etc. One does not send it back. One puts them in the skip.

    Anyone recognise these bent ends?

I was in a supplier today and there was a skip full of these (photo attached). The guys on the counter seem to think they are Electrolux after-market handles that are no longer in demand. The hose end had a thread in that a hose could be wound into. They could just be stuff from...

    The Robots are Coming..

We have a Roomba at home. Its OK for dusting wooden floors and getting under furniture. In mainland europe they are very popular. It was Holland I first saw one years ago.

Do you think Hoover have quite a 'hold' on the market due the brands Longlivety & History?

Hoover got a bad name in the UK over the flights to Florida scandal (Wiki link below). I think the brand never really recovered from that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoover_free_flights_promotion

    NEW Old Stock Vacuum Bonanza!

Very interesting pile of stuff he has there. I wouldn't mind the DC01 if he still has it.

    Russian Ural Floor Tool Available

This is something that is in one of the boxes under my desk in our shop. I didnt want to toss it in with one of our eBay job lots of heads and tools in case it was of use to anyone as it is probably a rarity in some places. Here's the tale: some will know that my wife is Russian by birth...

Opinions on building a pristine Dyson DC01 to store?

Citroen BX, I'd love to have a new red cradle for that machine and some new purple wheels if you can spare them at reasonable money? Or I'll swap you something you need or whatever. Any of that other new DC01 stuff you want to sell, I'll have a go at too. Contact info in the link. ...

Opinions on building a pristine Dyson DC01 to store?

Matt, I actually didn't take one of the underside (and its bagged up in the attic now), but the brushroll is new. The compromise was a grey cradle.

which is better dual cyclone or root cyclone

There is a lot to be said for the DC04. The DC33 - years later - is running on many of the same parts anyway. That says a lot. I like DC07's but they do have their cyclone problems. On the DC14, they went back to filter in the top of the cyclone and they have more in common with the DC04...

Opinions on building a pristine Dyson DC01 to store?

Last one here...... I got anal towards the end even seeking out early script new tools from our boxes. It isn't perfect, but I am pretty pleased with the end result.

Brand new parts included: Motor, brushroll, bumper, bin and insert, cable protector and stretch protector, the rest was the best of the last couple of dozen machines we broke for spares.

    Expert advice needed.

I have no experience of Sebo. Again, I merely suggested what *I* would do based on the OP. You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about something. Forums were for the exchange of views last I looked, not to train everyone to sing from the same sheet. Calm down fella.

Quote: Coming from Gorton - you must realise that people aint made of money

Our location is of little relevance FWIW. We sell very little locally. But I agree that the area our shop is in is an economic wasteland.

I'd stick with the DC14 and find out why it isn't performing as well as it once did. We can have any Dyson in the range as we sell them, but my wife still loves our DC14.

    Alertnative Bagless to Dyson

Keith, We have a Dyson shop as many here know. We sell recon machines. No need to spend £300. We do a re-manufactured DC07 with a year guarantee that we have never had a single one back of (also have parts to do a lime green DC04 that is...

    DYSON DC06

We heard from a guy at Dyson that Roomba overtook them with the technology and they were not able to compete back then. Now would be different though. I agree Dyson should release one, then we could sell our Roomba at home!
