    Hoover sharing......

@real1shep.... Thank you for pointing out the obvious, but you might notice that my reply was not meant for YOUR question, it was to enlighten SOMONELESE! I have two eyes in my head, and unlike a good amount of people here, I actually read the posts.

    Hoover sharing......

CrazyKirbyDude..... The Celebrity II did NOT use the Quadraflex Powermatic. When the Celebrity II was introduced in 1975, it used a power nozzle (yes also called the "Powermatic"), but it was built more like a Eureka power head, used a non Hoover made GS Electric motor, and had the same beater...

    Eureka Vacuums History

I have one of those small Roto-Matics.... Mine is dated 1954. It is in perfect condition, even has a brand new, genuine, vintage Eureka paper bag, from the correct era. I just need a hose for it (excuse the pics of the old vacuum room, lol).

This is NOT a commercial machine.... As stated above, this was part of Eureka's top of the line machines. Yours is one step down from the top, being self Propelled, but only one speed. I have the rare TOP of the Line with the variable "Electronic" Speed control. I will post pictures of that...

I can tell you right now..... The fairly current 2015 issue of Kovels Antique and collectible guide, only has one listing for a early pre, non electric pump vacuum cleaner valued at $50.00 and change. Take into consideration that there is not really a world wide demanding market for vintage...

    Hoover Concept Powerdrive Squealing

My case is...... A. You lied to this poor man about having said literature in the first place. B. I don't care what you or Fred S, or you say on the matter, you are the same kid whom recommended someone use a Convertible with out a belt or a brush roll. So you pretty much have no conception...

    Hoover Concept Powerdrive Squealing

Andy R.... Told Phillip that he doesn't even have the service manual in question. Repairman, If  I were you I would just go buy the Powerdrive Dial.A.Matic service manual off the Automatic Ephemera section of the site. The Power Drive Transmission is the same machine in both machines, and is...

Tips for replacing bearings in 1400 series Eureka upright vacuum

Well, then as a EXPERIANCED..... Eureka Expert.....I would say it is the top Sleeve motor bearing, sometimes they do wear out. there is two hood springs that remove the hood, and well as the screw in the middle of the Dial.A.Nap. Then the sleeve bearing is in the middle of the top cover that...

Tips for replacing bearings in 1400 series Eureka upright vacuum

How do you know this machine is "loosing Suction"? If that is your reason for needing a new bearing, stop for a minute and take into consideration, this is a upright direct air vacuum....In the first place, belts need to be replaced every two to three months, weather the machine is used or not...
