    M Wards by HOOVER

Hi John, I hadn’t heard anything from you through email. Are you getting my messages? If not do you have a different email that I should send messages to? I’m still very interested in purchasing that MW Convertible from you.

    Kenmore by Hoover

Not Common! Those Ken-vertibles are not easy to find these days. I've been searching for a Kenmore labeled ranger hood like that one for years. Nice find!

A note to V land friends

Dear Webmaster.... Please take this thread down. If you don’t, it will only get worse. It literally has nothing to do with “vintage vacuums” and has this cause enough issues between other members. Instead of looking on to other new posts, this thread keeps getting more and more attention from...

A Great Hoover Rarity Has Been Found

Thank you all for the kind words! In the past I have not been the biggest fan of the Hoover Concept, but nowadays, I have a much better appreciation for them. I now have a few Concepts in my collection (all pictured in this post now). I will definitely appreciate this machine with the rest of my...

A Great Hoover Rarity Has Been Found

Alright! Enough guessing! What I have found is this beautiful and for the most part, unused 1982 Hoover Commercial Concept Model U7097! I know that it has a few scuffs here and there and I usually try to remove them before taking pictures, but I had to post it as soon as I could. This...

A Great Hoover Rarity Has Been Found

Could it be a rare private label? Now that would be a good guess, but unfortunately not. I also have these two JCP labeled Concepts.

A Great Hoover Rarity Has Been Found

Now that I’ve got your attention... So, as the story goes, I was going online to search for late 70’s muscle cars on Craigslist. Except, when I put Craigslist into my phones search bar, it automatically goes to search for “Hoover” (can’t imagine why that would happen being a vacuum collector)...

Eureka power nozzle canisters of the 1970's

The History of the Powerteam and Those that Follow In 1972, Eureka officially realeased their first line of Powerteam caniters. This line conisted of three models: the model 1285-A, model 1265-A, and 1260-A. The 1260 was the top of the line powerteam, it was branded “Empress II,” and it had the...

A Pre War Gem, An 80s Powerhouse, and Some Woodgrain Beauty

My Collection As far as my collection goes, its not centered on any particular brand. I focus mainly on vacuums that are important to history or to their particular company's history. However, I also adore the machines of the 70's, so I have a large collection of Convertibles. I will always...

A Pre War Gem, An 80s Powerhouse, and Some Woodgrain Beauty

The light bulb socket that I was referring to is the actual plug to plug the machine in. The machine itself doesn't have a headlight, but the power plug is supposed to screw into a lamp light bulb socket because wall sockets either did not exist or there were not many when this was made.

A Pre War Gem, An 80s Powerhouse, and Some Woodgrain Beauty

That sounds about right to me! Either way, all will find a good home in my collection with the rest of the best that Sears has had to offer. Here’s a pic of my earlier Heavy Duty Twin Fan from 1978 that my new 80s one will go with along with my Sour Apple Green Twin Fan!
