It does have a 700w motor but 700w setting is for hard floors. The Auto setting uses 100w on carpets as your fellow Viking shows on his YouTube review 😀. That's an extremely low amount of power. Have they lowered to maximum watts down to 900 watts already? You're right about manufacturers...

One question. How does the Vorwerk VK 200 get an A rating for performance on carpets? It only uses 100w on the recommended setting plus 50w for the PN motor. Im very confused! 🤔

Yes I totally agree Mike. I don't think it's going to save much energy either. People will just use their lower power vacuums for a longer period of time to get the same amount of dirt up 🙄 They should keep it at 1600 w. Wish we had left the EU already 😣

Thst That may not be correct though. It does say 90 CFM on the Sirena website.

The Filter Queen performed better than the Kirby? Had you been drinking by any chance? And it's airflow that gets the dirt into the bag. The more airflow the more dirt it will pick up. Of course you need agitation too. I recently sold my Dyson. I've gone off bagless!

I'm liking my E3 Premium very much. Ideally I'd like a bit more airflow but it's still pretty good for a 700w motor. Very stylish looking vac and the ET1 PN glides across the carpet effortlessly 😀

Bill doesn't just rely on his Baird meter he also has a digital anemometer. That's not easy to say after a few beers :) It is very accurate!

Yes I've always thought that too. In the EU they have ratings from A to E for performance on carpet, hardfloor, filtration and energy. For carpets an A rating picks up 91% and a B rating is 87% etc. The Shark gets a B rating. The Dyson DC41 (DC65) gets a C rating.
