Yes I agree Mark. The Dyson multi cyclones filter the air very well so the pre motor filter stays clean for a long period but unfortunately as I've recently learnt it reduces airflow significantly.

Hi Mike it is the Flo Master F700T. 700 air watts. I thought it was going to be noisy but it isn't. No need to fit a muffler.

Thank you Tom. I'm liking it a lot so far. I have a stretch hose in the kitchen which is very handy. I thought my Miele C3 cleaned well but the central vac gives a deeper clean plus any dust that escapes the bag and the carbon dust from the motor is exhausted outside. I really like that! 😊

Thanks guys for all your help. I am going to fit an MD central vac in the cupboard. I'm looking forward to using it. Hope I don't drill through a metal pipe or electric cable! This happened to me in the past. The metal and live wire detector I used was as much use a pork chop in a synagogue!
