Electrolux E-2000 'Protection' light on, but vacuum still works?

And Kirbylux - the 2100 didn't come out till 1985. I was working for Electrolux at the time and sold them. I also have E2000s in my collection dated 1985.

Electrolux E-2000 'Protection' light on, but vacuum still works?

It sounds more like someone has wired it wrong. If you take a look at the diagram here either the wires on bulb C have been reversed (either at the bulb or on the motor housing) or the center (common) wire between the bulbs has been disconnected entirely.

Unfortunately no - we had them for our machines like that but they attach to the skids, which were a totally different design.

    Shetland-Lewyt Fashionables

Hey Alex: At least you have the proper rug nozzle. More than I have been able to find. Hey Brian: Yep SMC bought the rights to the name, molds for the attachments and several other things from the Lewyt bankrupcy. At the same time Holland Electro bought the rights and tooling for the big...

    Shetland-Lewyt Fashionables

Hi Barry - the Fashionables series was out in 1966. This isnt a great copy of the ad for them but you get the idea. I have the blue one on the right in the ad too but thats all I have been able to find. One of the machines pictured above is the one the lady is leaning on. (as you can see I am...

    canadian model 616 kirby ??

To get around import duties several different manufacturers (Kirby, President and Regina to name a few off the top of my head) contracted Switson industries of Welland, Ontario to produce their machines in Canada. In the case of Kirby they changed the first digit of the model number from 5 to 6...

    You rarest Vacuum cleaner

Wow - rarest would be difficult to pin down. Have a few very rare machines. I suppose I should start with the 1911 BVC Britvac and 1920s Goblin model 40, Then the Classic and the President model S341.179. The last one that comes to mind is my Ruton R500 Although I will probably think of more...

Anyone in the Memphis area interested in buying a bunch of machines?

Hi everyone. Is anyone close to Memphis? I was contacted yesterday by Randy Carroll who's late partner collected vacuums. He is moving shortly and needs to sell the machines right away. I am too far away to be interested but, if anyone here would like to talk to him and make a deal please...

Help on Wanda Central Vacuum Cleaning System

In photo 10 the inlet is pretty badly plugged up and that T fitting isnt the proper one to be on there. Its probably what is causing it to plug. At the least it should have a double sweep 90 (Looks like two 2 90 degree elbows with one end merged) so everything flows into the machine. The...
