    Electrolux ZC90

Hi Anthony. Thank you Paul for the mention of my website The ZC90 was the first UK Electrolux I ever found (Very Early 1980s) here in Canada. It was a 120 Volt version that was made for the Canadian Forces Canex (Store) at their bases in France and Germany. It took me over 30 years to...

    Electrolux Z62 - replacement tube

Ummm......... I may be reading it wrong but is the author not looking for one of the extension wands. Not the hose. The Extension wands are a fairly standard size. That particular style was used on both the models 62 and 64 as well as a number of Goblin deluxe machines so you should be able...

The genius Sears vacs from Birtman Electric

My favorite Birtman machine is the Whispertone 90 (116.2690) from 1962. Wish I could find the power nozzle for it though. It belonged to an old friend of the family and the only rug they had in the house was an area rug in the living room so she didn't buy the power head.

The genius Sears vacs from Birtman Electric

Interesting how the kenkart was changed from 1954 to 1955. This is the 1954 version 116.7631. Basically the same machine but this one still has the same position of the hose outlet as the older ones while the position is moved forward on your 1955 version and it uses the larger hose connector...

    Electrolux LE Switch Replacement--Difficult?

To answer the parts question. You will probably need to get both the switch cap and rocker arm if the ones on it are original. They changed the design of them at one point and the square metal piece on the original cap wont work properly with the new rocker arm - it requires a rounded one.

Regina Duo-Vac - Value for Pristine Example?

Yep they had it. Mine had the round brush too but its missing - sigh. Did some digging and, from what I can find, it appears yours was the delux version so it had the power hose instead of the cord on the hose and came with an actual floor brush instead of the dual nozzle (picture below)

Regina Duo-Vac - Value for Pristine Example?

Here is a picture of mine and what comes with it. They had the second set of wands and either the combination rug and floor nozzle or the plain floor brush with the machine so it could be used on bare floors as well as the power head for carpets.

Regina Duo-Vac - Value for Pristine Example?

Just curious - do you have the rest of the parts? It should have a second set of wands and the Rug/floor nozzle or just the plain floor brush with it

HELP! - Trying to find Apex attachments

Just to compare the US Apex machines to the English Bylock machines the first photo shows some of the differences. To begin with the motor is entirely different. The US motor is 4.5 A while the English motor is 4.4 A The basic design of the machines is the same but the switch cover on the Apex...

HELP! - Trying to find Apex attachments

Hey Guys I recently managed to get a US President vacuum cleaner that was in very good shape. Problem is, the only thing with it was the original hose. I have made one of the tool kits for it but I'm having problems trying to find the parts for it. Do any of you have any of these parts in...

What vacuums do/did your parents or grandparents use?

I still have most of the family vacuums. On my moms side my grandmother only ever had one vacuum. A President which mom bought for her about 1954. On dads side my grandmother had a Goblin Ace and a Regina Electric broom (I didnt get the electric broom but have found the same one under the...

When the Electrolux man services more than the vacuum cleaner

LOL That type of thing happened from both sides. When I was service manager for Electrolux here, one day we had a lady call that wanted to buy a new vacuum. The manager (who was fairly straight laced) went to see her as there were no salesmen available. He came back about an hour later white...
