    Hoover Breathe Easy/late model Elite

I've got this model lying around somewhere in storage. If I'm correct, this was one of the very last Elites. They had a 12 amp motor and the brush roll had one row of bristles and a beater bar. Chase

My Luck With Riccars Is Crazy!

I stumbled upon a Radiance on Craigslist for $40 and I could most definitely not pass it up. Davis and I took a little drive (about an hour) and picked this gem up. The seller was very nice and gave it to me for $30. Other than smelling like dog it runs flawlessly! I threw a new bag and set...

    Dead vacuum

Just a thought... Try pushing really hard down onto the handle. There is an inner plug at the top of the motor where it connects to the upper half of the vacuum and sometimes it becomes disconnected. It has happened to several of my Elites that I originally thought were dead.   Hope that...

    Are Oreck Vacuums any good?

Try checking your local Big Lots frequently. I found my Pilot there for $129. Oreck does a fantastic job on their factory refurbs, just like new.    You can't even compare the original Orecks to the Pilot or XL21. They are far quieter, have better brushrolls, and clean a heck of a lot...

What do I Gain/Lose by using Paper Bags in my Sentria?

I can't comment on performance, but with the HEPA bags you can fit so much more dirt into one bag. If you haven't seen them definitely check them out, they're huge. One of my Sentrias takes the F style bag and I only use the HEPA ones just for that reason. Chase

Miele bags and filter generic options

That is most definitely not normal for your machine to be doing that. I have never seen or used a Miele that leaked that much dust, and every one that I have owned and used has had a genuine Miele bag. I would replace the bag with another genuine one and see what happens. If the problem persists...

I've had my fill of the Eureka The Boss Smartvac

I actually love these. They are pretty aggressive and clean really well. I like the top fill bag system, as well as the decent attachments they come with. For the money, I think this is one of the best vacuums you can buy!

Anyone Have Experience With the Hoover S3865 (Multi-Cyclonic Canister)

I have the lower end green model and love it. It is the same thing as the Platinum except it doesn't have a main vacuum power switch in the handle or a heigh adjustment. My favorite part is the hose, it is a good length and very flexible. I also love the power nozzle because it really digs in...

Point me in the right direction, please

Check out the Riccar Vibrance or Simplicity Symmetry lineup. You really can't go wrong with one of those. We sell the TOL Vibrance for $499 so you can surely get a nice model well under $400. I'll provide a link to the Riccar website and you can find a local dealer.   Hope that helps...

    Rainbow alternative Ritello

Similar thing just happened to me... I found a gold 2 speed Rainbow on my local Craigslist for $25 with everything, including the shampooer. I called right away and the seller said he'd be out of town until last night (Saturday) and to call today (Sunday) and I could come pick it up. Well, I...

HEPA Bags-Are They Worth The Price?

I've noticed that the vacuums I use HEPA bags with tend to have less dust on the machine and in the bag chamber. But I have also noticed that they tend to smell like dog faster. I do think they are worth the price but I'm not one who likes to spend that much money on vacuum bags.   Chase

    My day is looking up...

Excellent find! I had one of these about 8 years ago and I really miss it! I love how they used the baby blue color instead of the common white and gray. Congrats!

    Kenmore Progressive Glide

I bought my Progressive Glide on sale at Sears for $99 and it was probably the best new vacuum that I've purchased. The main vacuum has an awesome amount of suction and the power nozzle is really tough to beat. The bags aren't the biggest, but you can fill them up pretty much to the top, at...

    Oreck Pilot II Help!

The Pilot models do not have a spare belt on the bottom. They use a "lifetime belt". Like Dan said, just take it back to the store and have them look at it. Chase

    Eureka ESP vs non-ESP

There are several single speed 'ESP' Eureka uprights. I'm not sure that there is even a difference from a normal upright though.

    Sonicclean upright

Very interesting idea... I wouldn't mind snatching one of those up.

Hoover Really needs another power nozzle canister!!

They do have one, although I don't believe it's for sale yet. It is the Hoover Envy Hush. The power nozzle isn't on the huge side, but it is a great cleaner, same one used on the multi cyclonic canister. This is something that I'll probably buy when it is released.   Chase...

    NIB Hoover PowerMax Runabout

Does it say anywhere that these are actually new and not a store just selling off their used inventory?

    The largest dustbag ?

There was a Mastercraft upright that I know of, probably from the 80s, that had a HUGE bag. It was very wide from what I remember. It was in my local vac shop for the longest time when I was little. Maybe someone can confirm that?   Chase

    Dyson

Great find! I believe this was the Walmart exclusive model. I have several Dysons but I always find myself using my DC07 the most.   Congrats!
