Quite A Bit For Sale Within The Next Few Weeks

Unfortunately within the past 18 years I have accumulated way too many vacuums and I really need to thin out my collection. With me leaving for college in less than a month and my parents moving out of our house I would really like to see a lot of it go to a good home. For right now, due to...

    Dirty Outer Vacuum Bag

I have always just thrown outer bags in the washing machine (we have a Maytag front loader) and I have never had any issues. Then I toss it in the dryer on the air dry setting for a few hours and the bag is as good as new!

    An Incredible Deal...

And here it is after a complete tear down and cleaning. I was surprised to find that the tech drive still works flawlessly and the brush roll still has years of life left. Out of all 3 Sentirias, this one might be my best.

    An Incredible Deal...

I recently picked up this Kirby Sentria on Craigslist for $25 and couldn't pass it up. The guy that sold it to me said that it was used heavily for about two months and has been sitting since. Surprisingly it just needs a really good cleaning, it barely even needs polished. Unfortunately none of...

    New Kenmore Elite upright

I've been using my Elite every day for about 2 months now and I've had no problems at all. As you said, the hose is very short, but the extension hoses from the old Progressives will work on it, which is what I've been using. The one in the link above is the exact one I have and it fits fine.

    Demoing vacuums

Sears is the only one that I know of that lets you try them. A lot of stores actually zip tie the vacuums to the shelves so you can't take them down. If there is something that I'm interested in at a store that doesn't tie them down I'll usually pull it down and mess with it, but there's usually...

    Kenmore Elite: What a Beast!

Yeah I'm not too sure what the deal is with the three motors. That might be why the direct drive system sounds a little bit different than all of my others, it's definitely not as loud.    The inducer motor is supposedly designed differently than a normal Kenmore motor, which allows it to...

    Kenmore Elite: What a Beast!

Here are all of my current Direct Drive models, minus my original purple one. My favorites definitely being the Elite, Intuition, and IntelliClean. The IntelliClean really is just a huge piece of heavy plastic, but all of its features and cleaning capabilities make up for that.   Sorry this...

    Kenmore Elite: What a Beast!

It came with the same attachments as the IntelliClean. Combo upholstery / dusting brush, long crevice tool, and a metal telescopic wand (the IntelliClean one is plastic). It does come with a turbo tool as well. Kenmore's turbo tool is a piece of garbage, in my opinion. But this thing has so much...

    Kenmore Elite: What a Beast!

I've been pondering over buying the new Kenmore Elite for quite a while, and today I went out and did it. It was on sale at Sears for $299, regularly $350. At first I felt a little sick after spending that much money for a vacuum cleaner (after tax and buying bags it came to $347), but now I...

Speaking of TriStars... My Luck Has Stricken Again

I found an ad on Craigslist for this TriStar Mg-2 with no location or price. I emailed them just to humor myself and the lady said she'd take $35 for it. She then said she lived only 15 minutes away from my house! I went and picked it up last night and I couldn't be happier.   It came with...

    A Tri-Star find

Beautiful! I've always had a soft spot for Tri Stars. My uncle and aunt had a CXL (now mine) that I grew up thinking was the coolest thing. I also have a DXL that I use constantly, it can clean anything! Congrats on an awesome find though!

Differences Between Bissell US & Canada Canister Offerings

We've had the Clean Along for years. My Walmart still has them in the clearance section. These were also sold under the GE name, same exact vacuum, just gold. Chase

    Panasonic upright + Eureka mighty

Also, a little bit more pricey...but this model includes a metal bottom plate and brushroll. I figured I'd throw this one the playing field for you as well...

    Panasonic upright + Eureka mighty

Here is a picture of the Kenmore set up for above floor and bare floor cleaning. It's extremely convenient with the long hose and the crazy amount of suction these have.

    Panasonic upright + Eureka mighty

Check this out... This Panasonic design is based off of the original Kenmore's of the late '90s. I have two of them and they're awesome, very quiet and very powerful. It has the quick draw hose so it's really convenient when you need the hose for something small. There is no on/off brushroll...

what should my next vacuum(s) be?

I'm not a fan of participating in these types of threads but I think you should definitely check out a used Filter Queen. They clean literally everything, and they do a very good job at it. The crazy amount of suction paired with their awesome (in my opinion) bare floor tool works wonders on...
